Has the Feedback and Suggestion forums ever been taken seriously by the devs?
Just joining topics about all sorts of balance changes in that part of the forum, so I was wondering if it's ever managed to affect anything in the history of DBD or it's just there so players feel like they are contributing something to the game.

Devs will always listen for feedback. The thing is that it takes time for them to actually implement our ideas in the game. It's not like a week or so. It may take a few months.
Just look at PTB for example. It's there mainly for feedback purposes and to test new content out before it's available to the general public. Look at the Finishing Mori system that was implemented a month ago in the PTB just to make the right adjustments and who knows when we can see it again. Don't worry that they always listen if it's a good idea

They look at multiple areas, but yes, they do listen to the Feedback & Suggestions channel. Some recent examples include ensuring Spine Chill was still useful as a short term accessibility feature, changing Wesker's grab Hitbox to be more precise, and then when people discussed it being too precise, changing it to meet in the middle from the PTB, etc.
The thing is, they can't just 'listen to feedback' because the community isn't a homogeneous entity that all have the same opinion. What one person wants isn't necessarily what another wants, and vice versa - plus there's also priorities, time, etc. I'm not claiming BHVR are perfect, for the record, but throughout the game's history a lot of changes have come via feedback.

I know about the PTB, I was wondering about this forum. I know they answer sometimes, I just wanted to know if there's incidents where a post here actually influenced a change in DBD. That's all.

The devs do read it, and I have seen Mandy say multiple times that the feedback she gathers on the forums is directly relayed to the dev teams. Or at least, the most relevant ones.
Whether they take “inspiration” from the suggestions is hard to say, since changes tend to take a while to make it through the pipeline, if they ever do.

Feedback is very important for the game and it's taken very seriously.
You just need to remember that the Forums are not the only place where people share feedback, so sometimes the opinions can differ largely between two different sources.
That said, and as others already mentioned, it definitely helped making changes to the game and I'm sure it will keep being extremely helpful.
Correct, part of Mandy's job is collecting Feedback and she is very active here and on the other platforms too.

Will just pop in here quickly to say yes, quite a bit of feedback from the forums has been used to make changes in the game - as well as feedback from other platforms.
It's not just feedback on people's ideas of which way to change something, but recognising that something is an issue as well. For example people request that such and such perk be changed - it's then for us to address why that's becoming an issue to see where the actual problem lies...as well as players ideas to address it, so whilst the final result might be different to what has been suggested, the feedback around it being an issue is definitely invaluable.

The devs most certainly do listen to feedback. You just have to remember that not everything left in feedback will get changed the exact way in feedback. People have different ideas on how to adjust the same thing.

Are the comments made in general discussion also taken into consideration? or only the ones in Feedback?

I do not always have the time to read the full forum discussions, which is why the moderators do a fantastic job in moving posts to the feedback section.

It's a mix of things - comments, upvotes, what we see on our other platforms as well for example.
