Not a fan of the forum changes. Please revert.
What was wrong with the old design? They removed comment count and view count next to posts? Why??? That allowed me to see which posts were most active and what people were most interested in discussing. Huge downgrade in terms of user experience. I really hope this update is not permanent.

What was wrong with the old design?
there were many issues on the mobile version and I guess new features may have been unavailable on the old design or something (though that’s just a guess)
as to the number of new posts - this might be updated later on, this version isn’t final and updates and changes are very much possible

Threads are still dark but the general Discussions page is white. I hope you can change that somewhere.
But the first impression is a bit weird.
Just refreshed and now the front page has a different look to it...

I used the old forum on mobile all the time and it worked just fine.
This is such an eyesore, the lack of post borders, the huge default font, and the [New] / [3 new] / [Vote Up] tags being black instead of red make them much harder to notice. No comment count or view count.
I really don't get it. Weird colours and contrasts, the forum topics just kinda look like search engine results instead of forum topics.

Also, what's up with your avatar? Is that the new default avatar? Because it looks a lot like the 'banned user' avatar.

The only thing I REALLY don't like though is that the "new" popups under threads is dark. The background is also dark. You can barely see the "new" notification when someone has posted a comment in a thread now...

I did too and I had plenty of problems with notifications and I know many people have reported the same.

That’s odd… I see comment count and view count on iOS.
Haven’t checked how it looks on desktop yet, apparently I didn’t realize that the cached URL that I had saved on my browser was no longer valid and thought the website was down for more than a day…
just so happened to stumble upon a Reddit post and comment that noted the new URL was forums.BHVR.com
You might want to see if it’s possible to have the old forum URL redirect to the new forum URL when the old URL is hit.

I'm on mobile now and I can't even see an icon for notifications any more.
There was always a bell in the corner before. Now nothing.
There's also no option to go back to the forum at the bottom of the page anymore.
I don't like just being negative, but I don't see anything positive about this new format yet.

I've also noticed there's a very strict time limit on editing posts now, (about 6 minutes?) while before you could edit posts within about 15 minutes with no issue and any edits after that would display a big red "edited by _ at _" at the bottom, which was fine. Now it's 6 minutes and then it's set in stone forever.
As someone who frequently edits their posts for grammar and clarity, please...

Also it turns out if you click the edit button when you have time, but you don't hit 'save comment' within the time limit, 'you don't have permission to edit that'.

However there are topics here from the MYM forum, could we also see what forum each of these are in on this page please? We used to be able to see "posted in General Discussion" etc. and now, well we'll also need to differentiate form DBD and MYM.

You can see it and click on it when you click on your profile pic on the upper right corner.
preciously for me it displayed the notification in the bottom left (though sometimes it didn’t work at all) but once clicking on that I had to guess where go click next - that worked for you fine?
it would be nice if the notification would be directly there eg on the profile pic as a small number, sure, but nobody said the new looks are perfect and it has been multiple times said that changes are still coming (as in, Moment count/last commenter is now there)
it’s one thing to give constructive criticism and voice your opinion. Another thing is being just negative about change and denying any problems that have been there before

No I never had those issues on mobile myself. While they certainly should have been fixed for those that did get them, I'm not convinced the entire forum overhaul was worth the price. There's too many downsides so far.
Being unable to edit posts. Having no link to the forums at the bottom of a page. Limited info on certain forum pages. Jarring colour scheme and poor contrast colours. Font is too big.
Otherwise, mechanically the forums seem identical, so while I'm sure there's probably some back-end improvements, I'm not seeing them on the live forum.
If I had positive things to say I would, I just don't. Other than the fact that the subsequent changes have been better. (but still worse than the old design)

all stuff that could be adjusted in the new style. And I do think the old style was more limited in regards to certain features and adjustments etc.

I mean, saying what things I find to be bad/wrong about the new format is constructive, no? They're things to improve.
It just seems like a hill to climb to get back to the level we had before, rather than there being any significant improvements over the old format.
It may be that there are things this format can do that the old format couldn't, but that doens't seem tangible yet.

The URL that shows up on NA East Google search as the first hit for "DBD Forums" is still
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/en
Which hits a 403 error.
Not sure how widespread that is for other region searches, but the first result for search engines seems to still be the old site in addition to it hitting a 403.
Not sure if the previous host hasn't taken down that URL yet or if they have yet to implement the redirect.

I think I'll never be able to get why things have to change always. And it's not even better.
Old: Details, perfect font size, social links, easier to navigate, easier to understand, different colours, better separation of posts, better graphics of people being mods or sth else
New: all above but not
I think I'll be out for a while, because I'm not in a mood to study this whole stuff, o.n.c.e.m.o.r.e.

It used to be that when you clicked on the little bell when you are quoted, it would cause the red "1" to disappear. It no longer does that. You actually have to click on the message and have it bring you to your quote. As someone who is weird about these things (I want to go to the thread itself and click on it so I can read anything posted before I got quoted easily as well as whatever I was pinged with), I really do not like that and I hope that is something that can be changed back to what it was...
