Dead Hard and perks like Deadlock are bad for the game
DbD is probably the most perk depended game I've played. Perks should make the game more fun and replayable. For me, this is the only game that feels definitely worse because of perks.
Dead Hard still one handedly makes any match a silly waiting game, It's not just feels bad for killer to be punished for hits (which is stupid), but also feels very clunky, counterintuitive and immersion breaking. How many horror movies have you seen in which a killer would chase someone and wait or pretend to hit while his victim spin around him? It's not even annoying, it's exhausting to play like this over and over again.
Deadlock is another example of how perk punish other side for nothing. Literally blocks the gen with the most progression automatically. Why? Such perks shouldn't exist IMO. The game should not punish the player for just playing the game. Perks should not make the game more repetative and miserable. It doesn't make sense.
Dear developers, please think about the design of such perks and rework them completly. Entirely.

deadlock is a perfectly fine perk. The amount of whining that goes on in regards to every perk is ridiculous.
you arent punished for playing the game. there are potential consequences for EVERY action you take on both sides in this game. that is a fundamental aspect of the game. If you cant handle a 30 second block on ONE gen a couple times a match then you may be too sensitive to play a game like dead by daylight.

DH is now about skill (and lags). There is no reason to do anything now about it. Yes it's strong. But it denies other strong perks.
As for deadlock - it's also perfectly fine. The only possible problem with the perk is, that hard facecampers can use it for extra camp time. This can be fixed by reassurence (or buffing it slightly). Again. I see 0 problems with prolonging the game with a perk a little

OP isn't talking about the "skill" (debatable) of dead hard. They're talking about having to hug a survivor's ass for a week in order to wait for them to use it. Spin spin spin, wait for the E. Guess wrong? They get away for free. It's incredibly tedious.

Somehow you completely missed my point and throw "sensitive" BS right away. 30 second block on gen a couple times a match makes it more repetative and miserable. Nothing more. Zero interactions, zero interesting mechanics, etc - boring, bad designed perk.

As soon as you know deadlock is in play adjust how you do gens. Have multiple with progress on them. If you do it right deadlock will have very little effect.

DH is and always was about wait or bait clunky interactions that looks and feels silly.
Perks as a solutions to game problems is a different topic, but I'm not a fan of that mindset at all, especially when they sell them as part of licensed DLC.

I don't care about deadlock, but DH should be looked at again. I still hear people say they feel "naked" without it which is very telling. I'd rather they scrap it or give it a protection hit based token system.

As soon as I know deadlock is in play I fairly assume that my solo Q teammates probably will waste more time and die faster because of one perk that blocks the gen with the most progression automatically and it doesn't add anything interesting or fun. That's about it. Game just feels worse because of such perk designs. As if they are made to be annoying and make you play less.

Deadlock denies Gen rush (or fast Gens)... also it only blocks one Gen at a time so work on another one
Deadhard is like playing chicken... who's going to act first
