Accidental teaming in the past

I've been getting really bad intrusive thoughts about mistakes i made in the past

Months ago i teamed with my friends a couple times and would let one escape (at the time i didn't know it was teaming) and have most likely teamed without actually knowing it

I feel awful about it and want some form of relief or affirmation, be it in a temporary ban or nothing happening im just extremely stressed out

Any opinions or comments are appreciated

I mean if you're actually worried that you'll get a ban over letting a couple of your friends go months ago, I think you're good. Not only did it happen too long ago for them to do anything about it now, if it's like two isolated incidents, they're even LESS likely to do anything, they tend to focus on repeat offending.

Thank you for this :") i don't really remember if they were isolated or not but they happened around the time Wesker cane out I believe and we haven't done it since (im the one who's worrying over it my friends are lucky enough not to care)

It also depends how much teaming you actually did.

Teaming is generally when the survivor works with the killer by ratting out teammates' locations and sometimes even bodyblocking them and sabotaging gen progress. This is clearly against the rules as it ruins the games for the other survivors.

Simply letting someone go at the end of the match just because they're your friend 'could' be considered teaming but since there's no victim, it's very unlikely it'd be punished at all.

Though even if you did the much more serious type of teaming, if it was a couple of times months ago, then you're not gonna get banned -now- even if somehow BHVR got ahold of evidence of it.

Technically playing as the killer you cant really work against your team as you have no team.

A survivor can turn against their team and team up with the killer to help kill their team, which is against the rules.

There arent really any rules against showing mercy to any survivor for any reason.

    Hey lokii,

First of all, deep breaths <3 while not being aware of a rule never dismisses a break of the rules, we all make mistakes. You are aware of it now, and that is what matters the most.

To fully clarify: Yes, if you as a Killer teamed with one or more Survivors, or as a Survivor teamed with a Killer to purposefully grief and remove another Survivor from the game (i.e. repeatedly revealing their location to the Killer, purposefully and repeatedly impeding their ability to run and escape the Killer such as preventing them from vaulting windows or throwing/vaulting pallets in a chase), that is Intentional Gameplay Abuse, as noted here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/139-game-rules it would need to have been reported in-game (required), and Support Ticket with video evidence is optional. If it was not reported in-game to flag the match, it would not be a complete report to be reviewed, and reports like that are handled quickly when reported properly.

I would sincerely hope your friends are also aware and mindful of all the Game Rules moving forward, but the fact you are remorseful and actively aware not to do it again (and have not done it since) is what is most important.
