Is anyone else having trouble finding lanterns?

I found a couple last night in around 20ish matches

Yeah they are definitely a lot less common than the pumpkins. Not sure why

Pumkins gave you bloodpoints only and lanterns give you event cosmetics, that's why they are that rare, BHVR don't want you to get all of them in one trial.
But one time I found two lanterns in one game and I run into one every 5ish games, I think. I don't search for them, pure luck.

Lanterns don't give cosmetics tho? That's the envelopes
Like pumpkins, they provide a speed boost

Start of event - 0/10 cosmetics.
The game with envelope - 1/10
Next game with envelope AND lantern - 3/10
Next game with envelope only - 4/10
Maybe i'm wrong and somehow I got two cosmetics out of one envelope but...

I don’t recall lanterns giving cosmetics, but there are like 2-3 lanterns per much that give you a considerably large speed boost.
And if they do help out with cosmetic gathering, then rare they should be.

Lanterns give a haste status effect; envelopes give cosmetics.
Oddly, I found three in one match and then none again lol

The lanterns also increase your vault speed.

I have found the lanterns a bit hard to spot. Perhaps if they were a bit taller?

I was thinking the same thing. It actually would be cool if they were floating.

I think ive found maybe 3 lanterns during the entire event

Then again, they aren’t that useful. You spend 3-5 seconds just collecting, just to get a short speed boost. Only really worth grabbing if you are near a dead-zone and actually have enough time to grab it (very unlikely in the middle of a chase).

yeah it doesn't help in a chase unless you're in perfect circumstances.
