Solo queue buffs may have been a mistake.
EDIT: Or at least, a mistake as it is on the table. No Killer buffs to compensate, which might have been a bad call.
I came back from an long absence of trying out other asyms, and I ran into a bully swf on my very first returning game. I picked Huntress for an old archives challenge, and got into a "totally solo" group on The Game.
The game ended with a stomp. One hook, all gens done, 4 man escape. I would injure but be completely unable to down because of medkits, COH, excellent looping (with no weak links), etc. I can see why people say tunneling is now meta, Survivors bring the best stuff and now basic yet powerful SWF advantages are basekit. "Killer on me" + "I'm doing this gen" lets everyone exploit SWF advantages.
Killers now need to bring broken stuff like Eruption, I feel, and I hope that Killer buffs come eventually to help deal with this. Unless I'm just overreacting, that is.
(Also, MMR decay is garbage if I got matched with these Survivors after a huge absence on my FIRST GAME in DBD.)

The solo queue buffs were a QoL change rather than a balance. It was very needed for solo survivors and SWFs aren’t really going to need it because they already have verbal communications which tells them a lot more than just generator progression.
In the end, the HUD is just information so I think people are overreacting how much it affects their gameplay.

The survivor solo buff is intentional to buff killers in the future.
It seems to me that they will add a basekit corrupt intervention for 30-60 seconds

I don't think that helps too much.

Did they say this?

Base corrupt would be really powerful, even if it only lasted 30-60 seconds.
Killer is in their worst position at the start of the game and this mitigates that. Means you're vastly less likely to have 3 gens pop by the time you find your first target and down them, and also means that you have less to patrol immediately afterwards to keep the pressure going.

Corrupt is good, but I don't think it alone does much to offset how much potential efficiency this adds over the course of the entire game. If you're not running extreme slowdown currently, you probably have one of Corrupt or Lethal Pursuer, so I'm doubtful that adding baseline corrupt and freeing up a perk slot would make a significant difference.

Yeah, and that QoL change 100% buffed Survivors.
I'm also not out of the loop, I know it was "much needed" according to these forums and the community... and myself. (I suppose I should have clarified that in the OP.) And yes, it DOES affect my gameplay, because now Survivors can be more efficient and know exactly when someone is getting chased, so they can safely slam gens in the meantime. A single bad chase can lose you games.
I also don't know why you're saying "SWFs aren't really going to need it", I'm not Hyperfocused (perk pun) on SWFs like this community and do not constantly try to worry about "MUH SWF BULLY SQUADS" when asking for balance changes.

You are 100% correct, base kit corrupt ain't going to really fix the overall issue. This "QoL change" increased overall efficiency in the process. People who have more than 10 hours in DBD can take advantage of the status icons easily and just slam out gens. You no longer need to be scared of the Killer interrupting you when you see that icon, you no longer need to pay as much attention. Once you see that status showing that the Killer is chasing someone else, you know you can slam gens safely. It's free progress.
EDIT: The times in which you'd be scared is when the Killer isn't chasing someone, since they are switching targets. But as soon as you see they are on someone else? Slam gens some more.

And what would be better than nothing?
It's obvious. The only reason killers don't get buffed against SWF is solo survivors who don't quite reach the swf level, if their play level gets closer it's likely that killers can be buffed.
It's not overly powerful, but it would make things easier, especially given how many basic abilities the survivors got, it's nothing compared to BT and Unbreakable. Even if you give 30 seconds of corrupt intervention, this will already force the survivors to study the map a little, and not "spawn, we fix it and leave"

I'd imagine you backfilled a lobby of survs that had been dodged several times, making your MMR basically irrelevant and got thrown in with those waiting for a while.
We really are doing it to ourselves with all the dodging

Take it literally without any feelings attached, but this is skill issue. The same thing will/can happen to 99% of us (me included). You just got terrible match with matchmaking. Don't make up your mind based on one game.
My personal experience so far is, that I did not notice change. But I only have around 10 killer games since patch.

I'd look more into dying light, fired up, or thana. Some sort of scaling effect that buys Killers some breathing room. Not just another tweak to action cooldowns, or something that forces Survivors to sneak across the map a bit to other gen spawns.
