You want me to wait out dead hard?
There isn't enough time to wait out dead hard, thats how fast gens go. Stop saying dead hard doesn't need a nerf. Can't even play killers like huntress cause her hatchets are so easy to dead hard, you need 3 hits to down a survivor. I don't care what you all say there just isn't time to wait out dead hard I need to go kick my gen cause thats apparently so damn important, more important than actual chases apparently.

this perk shouldn't even exist in the 1st place imo

Oh really? Dh resets the laceration? Hahah that's hilarious 😂
5 -
Huntress can be rough with DH.
However, I'm not having too much trouble with it currently. A Twitch shirt wearing Legacy pants Meg did hit a sick nasty a DH on me earlier.

Fair match.

The thing about Huntress is, Eruption is terrible on her. You don't have time being 110 to kick gens. So she is double screwed by the current Erup/DH meta.
0 -
I’m really not having trouble with dead hard. It’s very easy to predict if they have it, and when they’re going to use it.
8 -
Yeah, tell that to my solo team last week with a huntress that had jolt, cob, eruption and overcharge and missed all 80% of her hatchets, and yet, they all died at 5 gens.

Take your swing
1 -
I agree, but then I see the most absurdly influential average player who likes to wear hats tweet out a clip of him swinging at the most obvious DH in the world, and it starts to make sense.
3 -
To fit with DBD this should be Jerry.
2 -
I agree. However my main issue with DH right now is that it's being overused. I see like 3 DH in most matches. It's getting annoying.
2 -
Might be a shadow nerfed on him.
0 -
If it bothered you so much then run exhaustion add ons.
0 -
ya huntress very hard to play without tunneling or slowdowns or anything like that, granted they all had lithe but like, I don't see why dead hard matters so much lmao.
3 -
Inb4 your hidden number is lower than someone else's hidden number
3 -
If you wait, they'll spin into you a few times possibly breaking their ankles while doing so, moving in ways that can best be described as the product of a brain short circuit and the realization that this last bottle of booze was a bit too much with you running after them like an old man with alzheimer's, who forgot what he was even doing until you finally snap out of it to create a bluetooth connection to their brain in order to read their minds and after successfully learning about their lineage, legacy and OnlyFans you decide to screw it all and just go for the hit anyways.
Then you see their character light up. Lovely.
1 -
I do as well, but I essentially turn it into a wasted perk slot. They may get one use out of it, then no more.
0 -
wat?
"I don't see the problem with Dead Hard, I can 4k in one random match that doesn't have even a single Dead Hard in it"
Are you lost?
5 -
their complaint is that gens get done too fast so they can't wait out dead hard, here I am playing the killer they complain about with 0 slowdowns but they have "gen rush" perks, seems to fit imo.
Player likely isn't as good as they think they are.
3 -
Since you don't care what anyone says I'm not sure why you bothered with making a thread.
1 -
...you didn't have to wait out dead hard, though, because there were no dead hards in that match... so your point seems largely irrelevant to this thread.
5 -
Let's be honest the fact killers have to piggy back a survivor for multiple seconds is stupid in itself.
If I play killer I can only lunge 50% of the time because everyone has DH. It's also why tunneling is smarter, you get rid of OTR and DH as soon as they get off the hook, far easier than dealing with DH later on.
It's a problem perk, it takes away the basics of lunging and can be done on reaction for alot of killer powers. Theres a reason DH has been on my build for god knows how many years, no perk comes close to its value.
As usual though people will say bad players cant use it so it's okay to be so strong. Insta flashlights and instant gens was also defended so DH probably wont be touched again in forever
4 -
I laughed wayyyyy to much at this.
Ty

I played a killer against 4 people with DH. When I finally got the first, everyone took a hit inbetween me and the hook, them DH and off he came...
As alast resort I tought, well, let's wait and let him bleed out. But them again, they healed him up more than once and he got DH again. What makes me wonder how often can you use it? What resets the counter? Just an unhook? Or going from death state into wounded state?
0 -
It's an exhaustion perk. So basically it resets every 30 seconds as long as you are not sprinting (which causes the exhaustion timer to pause.) Walking, healing, doing a generator, cleansing a totem, 30 seconds and you have Dead Hard back. Just don't sprint.
1 -
Wait until your hidden number is higher
0 -
Well - thank god that I'm just phenomenal at this game and don't care about dead hard, nor do I wait for it.
0 -
Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night. Lol
5 -
That's a myth
In terms of map traversal a 110 has no noticable difference to a 115 killer
Eruption is kinda meh on her but it's not because she's a 110
1 -
Saying “wait it out” for Dead Hard basically means “never lunge, never attack at a pallet, never use your killer power, never hit a survivor in range to be hit without spending a dozen seconds just looking at them.”
What a stupid perk.
9 -
Your hidden number is only high is you lose most of your games. If you win most of your games, your hidden number is low.
0 -
Might just be me, but compared to other killers trickster can easily counter deadhard and other endurance perks. especially basekit borrowed time. tunneling machine
2 -
Well, dead hard certainly isn't going to keep me up at night.
0 -
-
You might be shocked to learn it's actually about a 5% difference.
2 -
Yes which translates to 1 second slower over a 100 meters
0 -
And 100 metres of walking is about 21-22 seconds for killer, which is barely any game time at all. It all adds up over the match. If you're playing to kick gens with Huntress, you're playing her ineffectively and probably going to lose. I say this as a Huntress main.
You said Eruption is bad on her but not because she's 110, and then don't say why. Just leads me to believe you don't actually have a reason for it.
1 -
Because of the 40m warning zone survivors get for one
Because huntresses, especially good ones are good at chases that playing gen defence is a waste. Quick downs will beat any slowdown perk, even eruption
Because Eruption isn't all that great on standerd 115 killers without mobility either, about the same really
I do find it kinda odd that we agree that eruption is bad on her but you're arguing with me, cause you think my reasoning for it is wrong?
Even though you just did the math and realised it's only a second difference every 100m
How far do you think gens are appart that that one second difference is going to add up to anything substantial?
0 -
So if we both agree Eruption is bad on her, why did you initially reply to my post? You started this lol
0 -
Dh no need a nerf, gen need.
0 -
I don't run gen kicking perks on huntress. I was using her as an example as to why playing her against good survivors sucks cause they can simply dead hard her hatchets meaning chases are longer, and since I run aura build on her I have no slowdowns. Huntress isn't my main just an example. Scott jund a popular streamer of DBD also said the same thing, that he stopped playing huntress cause of dead hard, and he use to main her. I don't have 20 seconds to spare when survivors bring prove thyself + hyperfocus + green toolbox with brand new parts. You don't get it I'm like that white rabbit in Alice in wonderland I'm late to kick my gen. I don't even have 7 minutes to spare with you like Wesker does. I don't even have time to waste commenting on this. I have to go kick my gen sorry bye.
0 -
I'm at that point again, were i need to expect DH on every surv again. In each chase, even they didn't showed it before.
Another problem might be, that auto DH still excists.
0 -
Cause it's a very common misconception that 110 killers are much worse at map traversal then 115 killers and that's just not true.
That's the point i was making
0 -
Complaining about waiting out dead hard is really skill issue. Yes dead hard gives an extra health state and waste time for the killer but is that not point of it?

"Ya Huntress is very hard to play without tunneling or slowdowns or anything like that, granted none of them actually used the perk, dead hard, they we are talking about, but i don't see why dead hard matters"
So like, this thread is about dead hard, and you play a game where nobody actually uses it, and win, and somehow that proves that dead hard isn't a problem.
That makes a lot of sense...
2 -
@Seanzu youre a console huntress? Please teach me the ways! I’m on console and I avoid killers you need to aim with using controller. I’m an ex-PC player. How do you aim well with controller????
0 -
If eruption doesn't get a nerf, dead hard should definitely not get a nerf
0 -
Their complaint was that gens go so fast so they can't wait out dead hard, here we have no slowdowns on a slow killer and a 4K. There is plenty of time, lithe is stronger in most cases anyway.

I think Scott made this video for like, 95% of the people in this thread, hope it helps.
0 -
Scott also made this video where clearly states that build is more important than anything else, and that "yeah, if killers don't bring slowdown, they lose"
And here is another from otz, where it is discussed that killers basically have to tunnel in order to win because they simply don't have the time:
