So are the people who say DH does need nerfing in one big polyamorous relationship too?

Almost no one uses NOED anymore outside of low MMR.

Same for Eruption/DH, yes?

It's really just annoying and bad game design. Needing to bait it out for every survivor is not improving the game in anyway. Dh at a pallet is somewhat interactive, any dh in the open is either free or ******* on a bad killer. Perks been good for too long gut it lmao. Having to sniff the neck of every survivor may not annoy some killers but it's really only downgrading the killer experience, and stomping noob killers. Sure it's not op anymore, but just like nurse it's past time to gut it or full rework it(not this bhvr "rework" garabge).

Eruption stops survivors from doing anything for 25 seconds because they're bad enough not to let go of the gen right before someone is slugged, with the new HUD thats piss poor easy to predict.

Yeah I have zero issues with DH. Sure it's annoying as killer sometimes but it's easy enough to counter. And bloody hard to trigger as survivor lol.
1 -
Yes I feel as if the new dead hard takes way more skill than the last one I don’t mind it bc 99% of survivors never trigger it correctly.

Finally some sensible reasoning. 0.5 second window, on top of server crap. These things all need to be in line for DH to work correctly. Ive been using it since I started playing years ago, and the nerf to it really made it stand out in fewer hands. Ive gotten better, but I still miss ~30% of my DH's. I find this pretty good but Ive put in time.

I know that there are perks you will see this often on both sides (and btw I hate pretty much hate all of them but CoB, because this one didn't change one bit after its release, meaning its popularity only comes from synergy). That doesn't make it ok that you have to play around perks that might not even be in the game. Killers will wait out DH as long as that survivor is not exhausted because if they go for the lunge DH is incredibly easy to use. It has the same counterplay Eruption does and EVERYONE hates Eruption. Wait it out. You don't know exactly when it will hit but you can wait it out. This is not fun for either side. It's not fun to wait next to a gen because your teammate might or might not go down any second now. It's not fun to run into the survivor, watch them perform a dance that even professionals would be envious of (or maybe it's just constipation), sniff the sweat on their backs and then swing to get hit by a DH anyway.

No? Those two are busted and are probably the 2 most used perks in the game.
1 -
Agreed. The perk is fine.

I always wonder about the server ping justification for DH being bad. That doesn't seem to be a big issue over here.
2 -
If we just get rid of the Dead Hard for distance it will be balanced.
🤔
Oh wait

If it isn't "that bad" then why is it by far the most used perk in the entire game (yes even more than any killer perk)

... Yeah. That's exactly my point. You did it again.
You only read part of what you reply to and ignore the rest. Lol

That's not really how competitive games work.
Just because something takes skill to do doesn't mean it's okay for it to be overpowered.
Knowing that it's overpowered, people WILL become very good at it, and then they can just collect their free wins now that they've made it consistent through practice, because now they have the proper skill to use it, so it's just OP.
Nurse is a great example. Should we revert all the nerfs on her just because she's hard to use?

I don't even know if this was meant for me. And if it was I don't even know what your trying to say.

Yeah I didn’t mean to quote you sorry.

what did I ignore? I reply almost every comment just bc I don’t agree doesn’t mean i’m ignoring comments.

Responding to every post but only select parts of the post suggests that you're ignoring all the points made that don't agree with your viewpoint.
Like, one of the earliest examples is that someone pointed out how exposed perks generally take a lot of setup or have heavy conditions on when they apply their effect, and DH is just 'when injured'. Your response was to not address any of that and just repeat your opinion that they're the same because of effectively adding or removing a health state.

Exactly what Raineh said. I specifically quoted some of your comments in my original comment where I noticed you ignored more than half of the comment you were replying to to focus on one specific part of the post because you seemingly have no actual argument against the bulk of what they said.

No perk should single-handedly make you play the entire game differently because of its very existence. EVERY SURVIVOR you chase, when injured, you have to sit behind for a good 5 seconds to make sure they don’t use Dead Hard. It’s the most bs mechanic in the entire game, and it’s ridiculous that waiting for Dead Hard is still a thing in 2023.
