Selling unwanted addons and offerings
Often when making selections in the bloodweb, one has to select an unwanted item, either because it's in the path of one that is wanted, or because all or most of the items need to be purchased (specifically in the lower bloodweb levels).
I like to recommend that you allow addons and offerings that a player doesn't like to be sold back at, say, 10% of the purchase value. This allows the players to focus on what they like, tailoring to their particular playstyle. It also provides feedback to the devs by showing which items are disliked (and either need to be removed or tweaked). Granted, most would prefer green/purple/red items over brown/yellow ones (with certain notable exceptions), but this would reduce unwanted clutter from players' inventories. You could also limit it to, say, 10 or 20 per day.
This would also allow players to get rid of conditional addons such as the red envelopes once the event is over.

Devs already have feedback based on what items are being brought compared to how commonly generated they are
Frankly, I think the awful items are intentional, and it'd be really annoying to have to keep going back and selling them.
It's a bit lopsided too, because this affects survivors more than it does killer.

Sorry for the time it took to get back to this.
You're right in that it's lopsided. Killers don't have to spend anything on the main item (ie toolboxes, etc) and therefore don't have to worry about clutter from those that they wouldn't use like survivors do. Also, this wasn't as much of an issue before they changed the level turnover process, when the killer/survivor lost everything and started completely over. Now, however, it's even more of an issue.
I just want to be able to clean up the inventory of all my killers/survivors so I can focus on the items I actually want. I'd even accept not getting anything from it, though I do think asking for 10% BPs back is fair.

could also have an option to maybe combine x items to transform into a higher quality version
