M1 Killers Have Nothing Left

Hey guys, is this the post where we humble-brag about how high our MMR is?
2 -
Oh look, someone didn't have a valid argument so decided to deflect.
I didn't even watch Otz video. I'm just being realistic. If I've said the same thing as him by happenstance then it must actually have some validity.

I wonder how M1 killer won their games before gen regression meta?

"I didn't even watch Otz video. I'm just being realistic. If I've said the same thing as him by happenstance then it must actually have some validity."
No, that makes you both wrong.
Mentioning a bunch of already obliderated perks that are not even half as good as a replacement is not a solution to anything. BHVR nukes the last perk that actually slows survivors down a bit in the current gen rush meta is idiotic at best and you going "There's other perks that damage generators" doesn't help in any way, shape or form. Do you really think killers are not aware of them or could it just be that what they offer is subpar at best? Because the correct answer here is the latter. They simply do not offer enough delay for the amount of time you need to gain from a perk for it to be actually worth bringing. You are then better off getting an all aura build and tunneling them.

No, you can't. Not with most killers. Out of 30 killers at least 20 are completely useless. Sure, there are some people who own exactly 1 videogame and they'll still do well because it is all they ever do but for us mere mortals, a bit of help would be nice. Sure, I can tank my MMR and get back to noobie territory and wreck havoc but tell me exactly why I, as a paying customer, have to accept that everything BHVR does boils down to nerfing the stuff that I like to play with. Because I have no reason to accept that and as such I dont accept it.
And furthermore, why aren't they dealing with actual problem perks like Prove Thyself and Dead Hard. If anything needs needs to be beaten into oblivion with the nerf stick then it would be those two. But do they actually do something with the endless complaints?
Nope, they went: "Yes, everyone and their mother is complaining about DH and the gen rush meta but you know what we should actually do? We need to boost survivors even more. We have given them base kits and HUD that in any other game would be considered straight up cheats but what is needed is that killers have even more pallets thrown at their faces despite every single god damn map in this game is absolutely littered with them. This will be very nice as survivors have already got map choice which we all perfectly well know they shouldnt have in any way, shape or form and now they will be able to essentially perma-stun a killer on it. No more being careful with using a pallet, you can just do it forever and ever and ever. No consequences at all. Yes this will make for great gameplay".
BHVR = Incompetence central.

OHHHHH.... another Oppression user
Do you use Surveillance on top of it???

Eruption was never good for M1 killers. You wasted too much time kicking gens.
Run Jolt and Thrilling instead.
I almost exclusively play M1 killers and I never used Eruption.

It's extremely telling that you think PT is an issue.
2 -
Since when have m1 killers had time to kick gens
2 -
Since a subset of 'meta follower' killers started crutching on Eruption for it's noob-stomping powers. Only to end up whining about SWF's being too strong once they got carried to high MMR.
5 -
Got no arguments huh scrub
0 -
Eruption carried the noob killer mains to high MMR rank where they dont belong.
The smarter ones never relied on a busted perk to carry them
3 -
nah survivors only complain about Eruption because they have skill issues
2 -
M1 killers will have to just 3 gen and tunnel more frequently now since they'll literally no time to apply pressure.
3 -
Skill Issue = they arent in 4 man SWF on comms
Eruption did nothing vs SWF
1 -
That's quite new, eruption were actually net positive in most of situations, and pretty much best tool against high MMR survs.
Have you ever tried math, huh?
1 -
Oh no, I'm simply very interested in why you think PT is OP
0 -
It has 10s aura reading during a time where you would hook someone.
Kinda like the old Mother's Helpers effect of 5% Haste when being flashlighted during a pallet break.
0 -
I've used Oppression before. Found it surprisingly handy when you're down to 1-2 gens since one Oppression potentially hits them all
If anything, after watching a video on strong Killer builds I came to the conclusion that Eruption is actually better for M2 killers, because it encourages going for downs with their power, vs going for the M1 for a Jolt proc.
It's also why I was confused about an earlier post from the OP...
...because it seems to me that Jolt is the ideal perk for an M1 killer, especially now the cooldown is gone, since it turns every single down into a potential proc.
The question I've been stuck on with the complaints I've seen about the Eruption is what are people actually upset about with it?
Everyone is talking about the regression, which I honestly agree is an overnerf and, assuming they keep it at % of current progress might benefit from a buff from 10%, though probably not to Pop's 25% since Eruption is much easier to set up and trigger.
That said, my understanding was that, useful as the regression was, the big strength of the perk was the 30 sec Incapacitation. A part of me constantly wonders how many people are talking about the regression when the real issue is losing that.

I dont think its too strong in and of itself, I think that one less gen rushing perk would be a good thing as games are over way too quickly and since Prove Thyself is a major part of the current meta, it's the one to go. So not OP, but problematic nonetheless. Nuking it would shake the meta up and can help give back a bit of time to the killers, allowing more of them to be viable again. I own all 30 killers and 20 of them are just no fun to play as they simply require more time than you get in the current meta, making playing most killers just a garbage experience as you dont have time to get your killer going.

This content has been removed.

So, instead of focusing on something that actually CAN be problematic (Toolboxes, hyperfocus + stakeout, etc) you've decided to nerf a perk that saves 7 seconds.
2 -
Plenty of others are mentioning them, one more or less isnt going to matter, like mentioning anything at all that would be beneficial to killers doesnt matter as BHVR is far too busy sucking survivor dick to actual problems with the game...
1 -
I play an M1 Killer and I don't even use Eruption AND I am doing fine as I do get 4k from times to time lol.
Not a big fan of kicking gens either.

Before eruption m1 killers had pop/pain res combo. The devs nerfed that combo which led to these killers moving over to eruption.
1 -
These posts are getting old & tired.
I never run eruption. I don’t kick gens. Don’t tunnel. Yet as a bubba/Dredge/twins/hag/plague player i still get my 2-4K’s.
How? Because I learn to predict survivor movements. Because I don’t chase for too long. Because when I see flashlights in the lobby I equip Franklin’s or Lightborn. Blah blah blah
Do i still lose? Yes. But not with just 1 or 2 hooks. I get at least 5-6 hooks in my losses.
(Im having more fun playing killer now than back around 2019 or so before the ruin nerf.)

Can we stop calling it M1? Some of us work and can afford a console you know.
And it's just one perk you can make a lot of good builds without it. If you only play to win then why would you use any other killer than Nurse? So I would guess you do play for fun also since using these weaker killers.

M1 killers aren’t viable against competent survivors
3 -
it is just that generator repair speeds are just OUT OF CONTROL
Had a match recently and within the first chase and about ~80 seconds after the game started 2 gens popped.
vs halfway decent players with toolboxes, brand new parts and stuff like that dbd sucks. my opinion.
it just feels like bhvr wants to breastfed survivors...
edit: how about removing all gen fast things and killers kikc only stops the gen? no more 3gens, only chase.
2 -
Before the shake up, We have Corrupt to slow down the early game making the killer have a chance at weak beginning. Pop to play mid game.
Pain Res + DMS for slow movement killers.
Thana + Pentimento+Hex Plaything for wasting time at totem.
Now what, corrupt and pop nerfed, Pain Res and DMS nerfed, Thana nerfed.
2 -
The game feel faster now why?
Because before we have corrupt to slow down in early game. And Survivor have to use one slot for borrow time, not borrow time is the base, they move to prove thyself. 46 sec 1 gens equal to 1 down or so.
In paper, 4 survivors will finish all gens before the killer finish all pallets on the map. :)
Oh yeah, not to mention you need to have a slow ass animation of picking up and get survivor onto a hook.
Now with HUD, the rush meta begins. You will barely have time.

And I literally never played any of those before 6.1 on my M1 killers. You all need to stop crutching on flavour of the month meta regression perks.
Most I ever used was Jolt and Thrilling Tremors. The former has been buffed btw! Use it!

I assure you this is genuinely not an issue lol balance changes happen all the time. Eruption needed a change and its not like theres a shortage of viable slowdown perks. Its not some huge catastrophe where all balance is ruined due to the nerfing of one perk
1 -
What, weren't we love nurse buffs all days? she is a statistically weak killer!

Playing characters like Sadako and Trapper is super painful. For 2 reasons, 1: it's way too easy to counter their powers if you're even somewhat observant. 2: with how strong movespeed perks like Lithe and Sprint Burst are, chasing people just takes forever, and you're often forced into a hit and run tactic or forced to hard tunnel 1-2 people and just ignore the others because it's so hard to catch people.

The thing about "M1 Killers" is that their kit (Powers) should add enough to counteract pallets n'shite.
If you're not using their Kit, and instead literally just using basic attacks and nothing else, THAT should not be balanced towards (assuming Survivors bring Items and Perks) unless you introduce Perks that literally suppress a Power for a Generic Effect.
(EG: "Beast of Prey: Replaces your Power with a Toggle - Press the Power Button to suppress your terror radius after 2s, while your Terror radius is suppressed, gain additional Lunge range.
1 -
They should buff m1 killers, especially Trapper and Sadako.

Surge and Deadlock are still a thing
