Male Survivors Should be Quieter than Females
Males have bigger stature/model, easier to notice for killers. As a result, we see female survivors are played much more often than males. To make males characters more attractive to play, make males a bit quitter than females. I think it would make sense for females to have smaller stature, be less noticeable while hiding behind objects but being a bit louder than males. Males, on the other hand, can tolerate pain more and, although they have bigger stature, they are quieter than females. I think the change would refresh the game a bit. Just my 2 cents. Thank you

I'm pretty sure female characters are played more often than males for other reasons than this but I'm sure some players play them for the reasons you mentioned. If you want to play certain characters but find them too loud I would suggest using Iron Will in your loadout. Its not as good as it used to be, but it will significantly reduce the noise your character makes while injured.

Iron will is useless with exhaustion perks now

Survivors will become more attractive when everyone has their own passive skill of 1-5% and not a stupid skin. I stopped buying survivors a long time ago because they don’t have interesting perks and skins don’t interest me, another thing is the killer where you actually buy content in the form of abilities and 4 strong perks. So moans won’t change anything until there are passives

They stated they plan to adjust the volumes of all survivors to be more even when they talking about the iron will change I think.
also..
Males, on the other hand, can tolerate pain more
you do realize that this is not exactly true right?
also I think in general it should already be the case that male characters are quieter, though there are many exceptions on both sides at this point.

If you're a meta slave there's a lot of great male characters to play who are super quiet and have stealthy cosmetics. Ace is super quiet with both his breathing and pain sounds, and his default cosmetics are pretty stealthy. Especially if you prestige them and cover them in blood.
Adam has some really stealthy cosmetics too, and isn't very loud either. Certainly quieter than the likes of Feng who you see all the time. Tapp ain't bad either.
In contrast, Meg, Feng Min, and Claudette are all really popular and are all really loud too.
People don't play female survivors to gain an advantage, they play them because they like them aesthetically.

Nah, I think what we need here is a Hold your breath mechanic.

Speaking of being quiet. I dont like that Iron Will only works well with Dead Hard. Id like to be able to use it with Sprintburst as well.

Half the people I know play female characters because they are trans women or nonbinary... including myself. So that's something. I know a lot of others just generally use female characters in games because it's something they are use to, since I had a friend who originally played Warframe as a Wisp main and moved to DBD, so they only play female characters as a result.
I find it interesting how many people have many different reasons to like a character.

The people you mentioned make up an extreme minority of gamers. The point I was making is that female characters are played more often because they appeal to the majority of people who play video games. Its not the only reason they are played, but it is mostly the reason. Beautiful women are very marketable in entertainment.

Totally agree

Ace isn't that quiet. When I play killers I can hear him pretty far from me. Unless you are using a $10 earphones from Walmart of course

Ace is literally known for being the quietest survivor in the game
