Nerfing Killers into the ground and leaving them to languish. Why?

I know that Sloppy doesn't affect mending.
The idea was to use the fact that Slinger was naturally pretty stealthy plus prenerf Tinkerer to make repairing a gen while injured a *really* bad idea while also making fully recovering from one single Redeemer hit take a ridiculously long time. Throw in two more perks I can't remember to let me know when I could easily transition the chase to a new target... and you've got a pretty good 1v4 Slinger build. Do note that I was doing this pre CoH so you didn't have that making this sort of pressure spread build a lot weaker.
Was it as good as M&A, STBFL, old Pop, and BBQ? Probably not. I found it way more fun though.
Edit: Also a self mend takes 12s. Not 8.

Because the game is developed around what is annoying and not what is fair or balanced.
It took one of the developers being chain flashlight stunned by 1s cast time flashlights repeatedly while getting zero hooks for it to get nerfed.
It's the echo chamber they've created too on their forums. Start criticizing too harshly and you get disappeared.

Slinger didn’t even get nerfed into an oblivion like people say he did.
His 1v1 was way too oppressive because he could M2 you before you were able to react. The human brain is not physically capable not had the reaction time to make a play against Slinger’s insta-scope.
Slinger is a fine killer. Billy I can’t defend. His nerf was way too harsh.

I’d throw Twins in there for getting beat down a few times as well and left to decay.

I just instant scoping back for slinger. slow scoping feels bad to play as killer and unexciting for survivor.

Hillbilly and Deathslinger... yeah, they're languishing...
Meanwhile...

boop?

The insta scope nerf was all slinger needed. There is absolutely no reason for a 100% killer to have a 32 meter terror radius

...Pig's been buffed multiple times and is in a pretty good spot right now, though?

I agree. But some slight buffs to her crouch wouldn't hurt.

I generally hated going against old slinger, but that nerf killed him. if you are going to nerf a killer, at least give them a single buff. sure old slinger was OP in chase but they kinda took that from him. some of the worst map pressure in the game with movement speed cooldown. tr nerf also took a big part of his game.
Slinger is still somewhat good in some categories like 1v1 situations but he is just a mid c tier killer.

I mean she's better than she was at her worst, but I'd still say she's at least equal if not worse than Billy and Deathslinger. But also, ""Nerf Pig" has become somewhat of a meme now, so even if she got massive buffs, the meme would persist.

Slinger is still really strong. Like, REALLY strong. He's just a lot more difficult since you can't look at people and instantly injure them lol
Instead you have to actually go for mind games and win them, or go for unpredictable shots over, around, and through objects. He's probably one of the most fun and interactive killers, imo. He's more like Nurse than he is like Huntress. Huntress is mostly aim skill, and Slinger is constant mind games with some hold W (which he also has to mind game lol)

Saying slinger is “really strong” is a stretch. C tier killer at best. Hold W and it’s easy wins against him.

eh, maybe I'm biased. I have like 1.5k hours on him, so he feels strong to me. I only have trouble against comp teams, which absolutely destroy me because my macro game is very bad.
Hold W really doesn't work against a good Slinger, unless you are on an indoor map and can keep LoS broken for very long periods of time. You can predict when someone is gonna leave the loop (hint: it's when you would leave the loop if you were them), and then get a cheeky shot in. If they are just holding W on edge map or something, it's not difficult to get people to accidentally juke into your shot or get stuck on a wall.
If you have good knowledge of the killer, you can pretty much land a shot at anytime if you have LoS (and sometimes when you don't). He's strong rn because the meta is finally friendly to him, when it's been very hostile to him pretty much since his release.
His synergy with STBFL lets him end chases against healthy survivors in sub 15 seconds. Kind of a big deal when most chases are expected to last around 45 seconds.

Right, but I think perhaps the point where you stop making the "Nerf Pig" meme is the point at which Pig has been given multiple buffs in a row and is in pretty much the best spot she ever has been.
It was never a particularly accurate meme, but there's got to be a point where it starts being a little weird to keep making that joke as reality becomes more and more detached from it, surely.

you must be fun at parties

So, this video explains where the meme comes from and why she could be buffed to be better than nurse and the meme would persist.
Also quoted Caleb to say "LOL right?" <3
Oh and Nerf Pig.
