Behavior pls give us badges with preferred pronouns
Please consider badges with pronouns. Before I load into a match I would like to be able to have the option of choosing between badges with all pronouns (23) because mine change daily based on my mood. So pls make sure we can wear a badge with our preferred pronouns so that we don't suffer unnecessary verbal violence and bigotry in game. The last thing you want to hear is someone mis-gendering you as you bleed out for 4 minutes by a slugging nurse, thanks.

Tbf people will usually gender you based on which character you play (Male or female) so if for example you were p,aging Adam they would probably use he/him pronouns. these badges would probably only cause more issues with bigotry
I wish it wasn’t like that but honestly that’s just how most multiplayer games are

I'm pretty sure anyone that's going to engage in "verbal violence and bigotry" in a video game don't care about your pronouns. In fact you're probably just throwing fuel on the fire at that point for them to be even more toxic to you.

Couldn't you just... Change your name. And put them into your display name. Because you can't chat on consoles.

I use anonymous mode (including on myself), so all I see is just characters name everywhere, in game and in lobby.

The last thing players in DBD are thinking about is being prejudiced towards other players because of their gender identity.

This feels like i am asking for trouble.
But how do you know the pronouns of someone while playing Dbd? I have no idea if the Dwight on my team prefers to called (she or he or etc...), i generally just call out the Dwight and thats about it, maybe i use the pronoun of the survivor.
I don't know, i don't think people are even thinking about what gender they think you are while playing Dbd.

if they're calling into question your real life pronouns then you're basically doing something to call attention to yourself. otherwise how would they know? why should they care? reality is they don't.

Legitimately confused. I didn't think DbD had in-game voice chat, nor do I know of it having in-game text chat, so I'm curious how you're being forced to hear someone say anything while you bleed out.

Just look at this thread; a genderfluid person getting talked down to by somewhere around 13 people for a simple QoL suggestion.
It's hilarious, but also sad, to see gamers claim they aren't bigoted while jumping down a trans person's throat for wanting to be out of the closet.

No, there are some strange things in OP's thread, people are picking up on it and how it almost sounds like some bigot pretending to be LGBT+.
Like, "getting misgendered while being slugged on the ground"? DBD doesn't have voice coms, this sounds like a non-DBD player trying to basically concern troll. Their OP contradicts the game itself.
The only other thing I can think of is that TC is referencing a specific event, and since they heard someone talking to them while being slugged, I'm assuming they went to a bigoted streamer's twitch stream or something.
Not to mention that it's been 2 days and OP has been eerily silent.

Even if that were true, that doesn't excuse many of the responses I've seen in this thread. Having a badge with your preferred pronouns is pretty standard procedure for queer-friendly places, and suggesting that gamers aren't prone to bigotry is downright laughable.

Well, the responses to the thread are just as suspect to me as a neurodivergent person. Casual bigotry is something I've come to expect from virtually any multiplayer game with chat functionality, so acting like it isn't a problem and anyone who claims it is is just "begging for attention" is even more of a red flag.
