If devs are ignoring tunnelling then give me an option to hide my name to EVERYONE
Being tunnelled just because you have TTV in your name is absolutely abysmal. Being chased for 5 gens and only getting 1 pip for keeping the killer busy ALL GAME is abysmal.
There is NO FEATURE in the game which hides your name, and no, I'm not talking about the "Hide your name" feature. I want an option like "Streamer mode" in other games where NOBODY can see my name. The current feature "Hide your name" in the gameplay privacy setting only masks my name for ME but users are still able to click on my profile, and if I am against a PC player; it does not work at all because my name appears as my actual username.

I don't stream nor watch streams so I don't know this - do you get the "TTV" in your nname automatically, or do you have to put it there yourself?

You have to put it yourself directly into your name tag.

So why not just remove it? If anyone thinks they get tunneled because of whatever in their name tag and they ask the devs to make their name tag invisible to everyone, isn't removing "TTV" from your name tag the simplest solution?

I believe the problem is that they are a console player, and anonymous mode is a PC only feature

still. The easiest solution is just to remove TTV from name. It does not make any sense to have it in name considering the proposed "solution" by OP was to hide it together with their name. Or am I missing something?

It typically costs money to change your name on console. At least it did when I played consoles years ago. I couldn't tell you now.

We don't have anonymous mode on PC. I once looked at a killers stream after being tunnelled and he could see my name clearly on the left side of the screen even with the only option we have on console "hide your name" being turned on. So it doesn't even do what it's supposed to do lol.
That's a false statement buddy, I played for about 9 hours yesterday, I was literally tunnelled all night lol. 9 games in a row (as soon as I got on) with the killer targeting me first, and one of those games the killer was a TTV killer, he ignored everyone else, allowed them to unhook me while he stood there in front of the hook (swinging in thin air telling them to unhook me BTW), then started chasing me instantly off the hook. This allowed me to drag the chase to a 5 gen but by the end of it all I got a +1.. I should be getting a +2 if the killer is acting in such a way and the killer should not benefit from it.
Then, I purposely started using chase/anti-tunnelling perks, DS OTR, DH, WOO, and purposely spamming windows at the start.. guess what? the killers started to ignore me and leave me for the end of the game, so there is definitely something up with this set up of perks in connotation to not being tunnelled out the game.
You have to put it there yourself, but each name change costs money, it's cheap, like 9 pounds or something like that. I shouldn't need to remove a name in general though man, I should expect a game to have a basic setting that exists in almost every single other game out there. That's not too much to ask is it?
The whole point of having TTV in my name is publicity, not to be tunnelled. I play a HUGE variety of games and just because I am getting tunnelled on DBD and treated differently on there it shouldn't mean I have to go out of my way to spend money and change my name because some sad people want to go after some invisible TTV killer title.

You're right, you're not my buddy, you're just some random dude over the internet who's salty for whatever reason.
I could care less what you think is a cause of tunnelling because you supposedly "watch a lot of ttv's and hardly witness it", clearly that's a lie because if you actually DID you would see a clear differentiation between players mainly targeting TTV when given the option of a TTV survivor and 3 random survivors.
You don't have TTV in your name so don't talk on behalf of the ones that do, especially when you're just a supposed spectator.
Secondly, why are you taking offence to me wanting an option on console which already exists on PC? It affects you in ZERO way whatsoever but somehow you're angry about it. It seems there's an underlying issue here you have with me rather than the actual game. So what is it? Spit it out now don't be shy.

As a TTV, if you have TTV in your name you shouldn't complain about being tunneled.

If it upsets you they will obviously tunnel you more, and there is nothing really wrong with that.

Weird sentence but ok, don't really know how a killer will know if someone is upset or not.
But that's not the point here. The point here is I want a streaming feature that's been in almost every single game since 2015. It's already on PC and it should already have been added on console too. I've listed my reasons for it happening to me, personally and if anyone has a problem with that then it sounds like a them issue.

They could be stream sniping, or getting a friend to do it.
I don't have an issue with adding more measures to make it so TTVs have more fun. At the same time, as a TTV who has been targeted for being a TTV, I'm not gonna put my Twitch as my name then complain that I got attention for it. As along as they aren't breaking the rules, they can have any playstyle they want. Just like how they can target the level 100, they can target the TTV, which they are more likely to do because they can watch from the other POV.

Console needs actual anonymous mode like PC has. I really liked that short period when anonymous mode accidentally went live on console, I had it enabled the entire time and felt so much better knowing there was no baggage from any previous matches carrying over.

I could care less about a playstyle until it becomes such a major issue that it changes to the norm. That's the issue here. All I want is a basic feature added to the settings. We have one already on console but it is not working as intended at all.

It looks like someone saw that you wanted to be chased and decided not to chase you.
Which is normal behavior because people that want to be chased tend to not suck at it.
It is not a "I have TTV in my name" thing.

If you don't have TTV in your name then you have 0 say in that matter.
Before I had TTV in my name I wasn't tunnelled this much and I play exactly the same then as I do now.
