Add an anti-hatch for the killer
First, the reason the survivors get a hatch: When the killer is totally dominating, the hatch gives the last survivor an RNG chance to escape. This prevents the survivor player from disconnecting and even quitting DbD due to frustration.
Now, the reason the killer gets an anti-hatch: When the survivors are totally dominating, the anti-hatch gives the killer an RNG chance to kill one survivor before they all escape. This prevents the killer player from disconnecting and even quitting DbD due to frustration.

that would only work if survivors were considered a collective. But they are four individuals. For a killer it literally doesn't matter whether they 3K or 4K in pubs ( adepts and tome challenges aside) - they have won either way. For the rng-killed survivor however this is not the case. As far as the game is concerned they lost.

Securing a single kill is not very difficult.
Getting at least one down and camping in end game will do it, don't need any new mechanics to do it

We already do
It's called rancor
Heck, it doesn't even need to be 1 kill it can be all 4 or 3 with game Afoot combined with it

Two already exist: An offering to spawn hatch at shack, and an offering to spawn hatch at main.
The only way for these offerings to be of benefit to the survivors is with a key build or for SWF abusing DC for hatch.
The other 99.9% of the time, they're in favor of the killer.

Its called face camping

Looks like haggling on a bazaar. "You give 1 escape, 1 give 1 kill."
You playing the game or what?
If you don't understand, I'll explain: hatch is the only way to have survivors keep playing after turning-point. And turning-point is the moment in every match where survivors cannot do anything anymore to win. Hatch give them incentive to keep playing (draw killer from last teammate, sacrifice so other could escape, etc).
If there are only 3 survivors left and more than 1 gen to be done, it's basically no point to continue playing without hatch.
Killers play whole match long, survivors only few seconds in a chase (othertime they either holding M1 or dangling on a hook).
So stop haggling and play the game. Or you sound like your salary is tied to kill numbers.

Tell me you are brand new to the game without telling me you are brand new to the game.

There technically is, Left Behind/Clairvoyance with a key but y'know without it, theyre never guaranteed to find and escape in it, unlike rancor where you can just slug the obsession on 1 gen left
1 -
even then, there's a much less chance for it to work out vs if you had rancor, because perks like NOLB, desperate measures, BT, and deliverance exists, or just a huge team play
The only ones that could probably void this is infinite T3 Myers or Bubba

Hatch exists purely to end the game. Once upon a time hatch didn't exist and survivors would hide when the game was clearly unwinnable. And the game became a looong game of hide and seek. No one has time for that. The purpose of hatch is so the killer or last survivor can end the game.

We call that Rancor, my friend.

3 kills is a win, and to be honest if I come across hatch and the survivors had a rough game I just lead them to it or down them and drop them at it. The hatch is either a resource for the killer to end the game faster, the survivor to end the game faster. And as a killer its also a way of having a pet at the end that you get to set free <3
Donate a hatch to your local survivor orphanage today and you too can save a baby Dwight.

The hatch is fine. You don't deserve to get 4 kills automatically.
If you wanted to change anything we could :
- Add a more strict stall system so that if people are alive and don't do the objectives they get birds much faster as the game duration increases
- Change the hatch system only in the case of one player quitting the game to give the other player the hatch by quitting from unnatural causes.

And the hatch isn't guaranteed to work out either. Certain mechanics can make it much more in your favor, like Sole Survivor and Left Behind, but the same applies to face camping.
Things like NOED, Rancor, Myers t3, bubba all move it more in your favor, but that's my point. Face camping a survivor to death is the equivalent to hatch. Occasionally, it can work out, other times it won't.

Guess you're right I suppose
