I just had a bill body block me into a room for 5 whole minutes because I wouldn’t let him heal me
It was on the bad ham map. This bill was hiding in lockers and creeping around the map the entire match so I was already annoyed with him. I got out of a tight spot when the killer went afk, so I ran up to the room in the main house with the gen in it. I was gonna heal myself there with my medkit and jump on the gen after but when I got there another Bill was already on it. I started healing myself and was gonna leave then the other bill showed up and tried healing me. At that point I wanted to just finish healing myself so I kept saying no and pointing for him to move and he wouldn’t. He blocked the door, kept attempting to heal me and even the other bill who had popped that gen couldn’t get out.
I kept shaking my head no and pointing at him to move and he kept us both hostage for about 2 minutes before he moved just enough for the bill to leave but kept me body blocked there for another 3 minutes just putting his item up and down and 3 crows circling his head.
Seriously? What the ######### is wrong with some people? You’re literally trolling and trying to sabotage someone because they don’t want you to heal them? I swear some of the people who play this game have psychopathic tendencies.
Before anyone brings it up, it doesn’t matter why I didn’t want to let him heal me. The fact is I didn’t and it doesn’t justify body blocking me and holding me hostage. If someone doesn’t want you to heal them, go find something else to do. We still had 2 full gens left in the match that needed done and that was how he chose to spend his time.

Yes, it is very annoying when this happens to say the least.
I had this happen whilst opening the exit gate, being body-blocked there and the killer being bugged because they were playing Twins and couldn't help out either 😅
I've said this before but survivors really need to lose collision with another and only have it when it's because of a prompt like unhooking/healing, and if you're refusing it it should stop and allow you to go through one another.

Record and report, topic done
1 -
Record anyone who does that and report them. That is actually bannable.

I don’t record my matches and I’m not a streamer so that’s a moot point. I’m literally just venting. That’s allowed here if I’m not mistaken.
2 -
Absolutely agree. After a certain amount of time, the collision should disappear and allow survivors to move past one another.

Venting is perfectly fine here, but please record and report incidents like that as it helps with the health of the game.
obs is lightweight and free if you're playing on pc.
It's a hassle I know since you don't normally do that, but it helps a lot to get people like that off the game and trust me when I say this game is usually in need of a jerk purge.

I get that I totally do. But I’m not gonna record every match I play on the off chance that someone is cheating or breaking the rules. That’s an unfair burden especially when their reporting system has zero transparency anyway on whether or not a player was disciplined or banned.
Until BHVR takes actual steps to improve their reporting and transparency system Im not gonna put that burden on myself. It’s not my job.
Alo I’ve tried recording with OBS and it kept freezing up and wouldn’t record sound. I know how to play video games but I’m not a tech person that’s gonna take the time to troubleshoot and figure all that out, especially when I’m not a streamer.

Just use the Xbox game bar. You can record the last 30 seconds or 60 seconds at the click of a button. I’ve used it plenty of times to record cheaters.

As Hug said you don't have to record the whole match just set it up to record at a press of a button and record the time they are bodying blocking you and holding you hostage....they will never take someone's word that a incident happened without proof and a screenshot isn't enough to show they held you hostage for 5+mins.
I get your venting but nothing will be done if no one reports these players

Let’s be clear here. Asking anyone to record their matches on a regular basis is too much - especially with a secondary program that requires additional setup. The average consumer is not a streamer. If the game doesn’t do it automatically (like league of legends and r6 siege) then that’s simply just not realistic.
yes, i know it’s possible, but consumers aren’t moderators. And they’re not streamers. If this is truly what should happen then it’s on behavior to provide the match replay system and not the player.
when a player reports another player then the match’s replay gets pulled and the timestamp provided by the report should be enough.
gamebar on pc has a clip feature
xbox has a clip feature
psn might have a clip feature
idk about switch.

It’s definitely okay to vent here.
I’ve had stuff like this happen multiple times, one of the reasons I’m a killer main, it’s hard when you’re a SoloQ surv and have to go against the killer AND your teammates.

if you have nvidia you can record the last 5 min of your game... or start recording at anytime by pressing specific keys.

I don’t have NVIDIA and as for Xbox game bar, I don’t know how to use that.
Again, I get what you’re all saying but I’m not going to go out of my way to learn outside programs to record my game matches because BHVR can’t be bothered to update their own game and out in better measures for reporting. Not my responsibility or my job, and as long as the rest of their playerbase continue to do it, they have no incentive themselves to take control of their own game and reporting system.

Exactly my point

I agree that it is not the most reasonable thing, but you use the system available to you. I'm the same as you just a person who simply plays the game and wants to see the game be better. Also psn has a very robust clipping feature just gotta hit the share button on the controller.
Another reason why I suggested going through the hassle of reporting is it very much feels like people get away with jerk stuff like this until they build up a volume of reports.

gotta be honest. Coming from league of legends - griefing is hard to get escalated to a proper ban. Botting and hacking less hard. Robbing the virtual store and ddosing servers takes the least amount of time because it’s escalated quickly.
1 -
From one league player to another, very hard. Still, doesn't hurt to try. Sometimes it works or at the very least they get put on a little time out.

so more of a “wish thinking” advice post? Okay. Fair enough.

I feel like when the mid-chapter update drops this scenario will become more common.

Why can't the devs just remove collision when this happens?
1 -
No they’re saying to remove collision between survivors and other survivors after a certain time to prevent this kind of griefing.
