SWF is killing this game

SWF is absolutely destroying this game for solo-queue.

It's still bad with killer too, but admittedly it's not as bad as it was before the update, but in the process, solo queue has been absolutely victimised.

I tried a few games solo queue to see what was going on and oh my god, RIP

BHVR knows that if they do anything to nerf SWF that it will kill the game. A lot of people play SWF because they enjoy playing with friends and it’s a lot easier to win or even bully the killer for laughs in some cases. If that consistent fun is diminished, a lot of SWF players will leave the game.

Probably the only solution is going to be separate queues ranked/casual.

I agree. 4 man SWF is too much but a lot of times when you play duo or trio you get HORRIBLE RANDOMS that waste pallets, DC, or kill themselves on hook.

-"BHVR knows that if they do anything to nerf SWF that it will kill the game"

But what happens if nobody wants to play killer? This is probably the worst I have ever seen the game in terms of "fun to play" as killer.

Things were bad in 2016 but we had NOED which for at least a while was the complete equalizer because it lasted forever.

What abuses occur in swf are then dealt with and carried out in soloq. So let's say COH being abused and DH the latest those were being abused in SWF because people are able to interact with each other have a coordinating runner and someone to loop and taunt the killer. This leads to a toxic gaming environment. So in turn what is bad for one group is bad bad for both groups. Even though on soloq you really can't communicate with each other and you can get paired with 3 loopers that suck at skill checks and one that's good at them. It is kind of like saying dark chocolate is bad so all chocolate is bad. I mean I really understand it and when you have people that are board they are just going to be toxic for fun in a group to ruin someone else's fun.

I have found those that waste pallets are trying to practice their looping skills. They do this to get the killers attention and it's usually at my expense.

Alright, what do you want them to do? Ban playing with friends? You do that all you going to get is people lobby dodging till they get their friends.

I get that and I can adapt to the healing and what not (I never used dead hard). But I have noticed that all these killers have healing slowing perks and some stack them. If the devs were going to slow self healing then those are the perks they should have nerfed not the gen ones. They also are face campers and that just ticks me off. I put hackers and campers in the same category wanna be gamers. At the same time I can see certain camping in soloq because you can spot a hacker. The devs need to start identifying the hacks and pay attention more, just because it's a paid game doesn't mean they should get away with it.

10% of 4 players SWF is what keep the kill rate being "just right". Remove them and we may have higher kill rate, which lead to Killers nerf.

SWF destroy solo, but they dont think SWF keep Killers not getting destroyed.

They did those SBMM tests last year, and the stricter the matchmaking, the longer the queues as well. People waiting 15min+ for a game, and high MMR waiting for over an hour. I honestly can't see how they can fix it to please everyone.

Matchmaking and a lack of any ranking system kills solo queue, not SWF. 500 hr players are matched with 4000 hr players. Wins and losses aren't tracked and don't matter. Why would a player be focused on what they're doing when they're only in a solo queue match to loot 3 chests for 15k BP? I don't know why anyone would enjoy solo queue if they care about results or playing well.

I highly doubt that. SWF does not = super good team. I’ve had many solo q teams well outperform 4 man SWF’s.

I play both sides and I strongly disagree. DH and healing just got nerfed. Killer feels a lot more manageable to play now than it used to, especially against solo queue even if they are good. SWF remains ridiculously unbalanced, especially when you throw in broken maps with 1,000 pallets and strong loops that spawn right next to each other. These are problematic with solo q too, but it becomes an unfair game when you throw in the perfect coordinator that SWF on comms have the advantage of

SWF have been "killing this game" for 6 years now, and it's still not dead.

I'm starting to think it might not be the massive issue some people think it is.

I think SWF is pretty much the only thing keeping survivor viable. I know you think removing it will make killer games easier for you, but I guarantee that won’t be the case. Lol.

This is unnecessarily aggressive, you can see from my post I clearly play both sides.

If SWF didnt exist, the game would be dead. I want to play with my friends, not every friend I play with is a god, sometimes im trying to get new people into the game. It aint always death squadrons trying to turn the killer into their very own chew toy.

I will constantly upvote and downvote this comment, so that I can just upvote it more. This is the crux of most of DBDs matchmaking issues.

Lol this is just a new tactic to try and get Bhvr to nerf or remove SWF. And it's never going to happen.

The thing is, these problems existed before SBMM as well. Old 'rank based' matchmaking was just as flawed, and doubly so at the top end, where the top 5% would be matched with middle rank 7-5 players more often than not, instead of being matched amongst themselves. I'm sure this was great for the top 5% as it meant they got easy games every now and then, but it was hell if you were an average player who always ended up stuck at rank 5.

Let's not forget rank reset, in which for about two weeks every months it would be sheer pot luck and if you weren't a top player you basically couldn't play without getting wrecked every other game. Or smurfing, where players who intentionally lower their ranks to bully lower skilled players.

SBMM didn't make things fundamentally worse, it just painted an ill-defined target on which to throw your misgivings. MMR is unknown, therefore it must be the problem.

I think you're suffering from the Dunning-Kruger if you're saying this unless you unironically play Nurse/Blight every game.

What did this last patch do? It made me lose all my gen regression. How much time was I getting on average? about 90-120 seconds. I'm playing a "meh" killer that has no movement speed but has good antiloop.

Imagine starting a game of DBD and you can press a button to make the other side go afk for 90 seconds. That's essentially what this patch does to how I have been playing the game for a very long time (since Pop was introduced).

    I have three options :

    1. Stop playing
    2. Stop playing Killer
    3. Play stronger Killers.

I refuse to do #3 because I already did that a long time ago and basically said goodbye forever to some of my old timey favorite killers like Billy who if we are honest is just a big joke.
