limitations to boons any time soon?
idk if i should type a lot to convince people since it's an obvious problem that boons can be spammed infinitely so i'm kindly asking if any meaningful changes are happening in near future. here's the suggestion ppl are making all the time that makes a lot of sense to me; either survivors should be able to bless totems once or twice, or each totem should be able to be blessed once per match.

Boons are pretty weak overall, I don't think they need nerfs.

All the boon perks except CoH should get a buff and then at the same time, they should all become more limited.

what if i said i have the worst time when there's a survivor that spams shadow step in badham main, or ironworks main?

Since the recent nerf of coh, boons in general are weak. If anything, they should probably buff the weaker ones so they can be used outside full totem builds.

Agree. Before the patch, the only boon that wasn’t garbage was Circle of Healing, and I honestly didn’t find it that oppressive in most of my killer matches. Most of the time it ended up being a big time waster for the survivors. And of course with the new patch, CoH has also been rendered useless, so now all boons are terrible and should never be picked over many other much better perks.

Oh please c'moon. They already made the COH to be a Circle of Nothing. They don't need any nerfs, buffs actually. And yes I play killer too daily. Never had a problem with them. Skill issue. Run shattered hope if it's that big problem.

yes, let me run perks to deal with flawed game mechanics. as i said, with the limits to the amount they can be put down, it would also be safer to buff boon perks or boons overall.

Be nice to get some new boons, maybe one that would trigger a false notification to the killer in the area or something

The effects are decent on each of them, its just their range is bad.
I would turn down Coh to 50% speed boost, and increase the range to 32m, which generally buff other Boon.

I think you need to charge it before you plant a totem would be a good idea.
You can balance the boon by how hard to charge.

You would be right back here to complain again, since those buffs would need to be very substantial.
Boons, currently, are really weak. They don't deserve more nerfs.

Boon totem used byParty including solo player is mediocre. 4PT's boon are still Powerful.In short, it is a failed park that only widens the gap between solo and PT.

That would tell me you rely on scratch marks too much. Since CoH nerf boons in general suck. Shadow step is probably the most viable but still isn't amazing.

Boons are fine with only 1 being great, 1 being average and 2 being bad. There’s way more problematic perks right now

Which one is great? I see 3 boons that are very situational and 1 that is garbage no matter what. Boons are dead. You will not see them most of the games now. Only people that like to bring off meta stuff will pick any of them from time to time.
If they extended the range of boons, they would become somewhat useful (those 3 situational), because their situation would come to play more often. As it stands, I don't see myself bringing ANY boon if I don't want to play some kind of troll game/gimmick.

Circle of healing is still a great perk overall. It allows for quick resets and works very well with coordinating teams

I wrote it several times - I do not agree. The requirements make it too situational. If you are not within CoH reach, you and somebody else need to travel to it. If you travel for longer then 4-8s (probably closer to those 4, depends on where you want to go after healing), then it's better to heal on the spot and not go anywhere - and this presumes CoH already stands. But it also requires quite some setup time - making it net negative.
The only time where it's really useful is if everybody needs to reset (travel time gets watered down) or if you happen to already be in radius (but being in radius means it needs to be close to killer AND he must not stomp it at the same time). Or if you are soloQ/no-comms SWF to actually inform other users you are here and need healing (but usually nobody can't be bothered to travel to you so... Not useful)
So as I said - 3 of boons are very situational to be helpful and 1 is outright bad.

this is a matter of the location of the totem. if it's in a central area but also in a hard to reach spot, you will almost always get value and killer either wastes lots of time snuffing it constantly or won't bother at all. and that's the problem with boons. someone said totem placements is the problem but like, if boons make the totem spots a problem, why not fix boons instead?

no i wouldn't? i said i wouldn't mind even massive buffs because once you get rid of the totem(s), they would be gone for the rest of the match and that's fair.

There are exactly 2 maps that make it problematic - ironworks and badham. You might argue for 2floor maps like midwitch or gideon, but I don't find it so problematic there. Anyway - what does it matter if the effect is usually not worth it? Also Ironworks (strongest map for this abuse) can't be even reliably picked.
So again - boons as a whole are at best very situational now. I presume you will not see it very much so I see no reason for any more nerfs

They don't have to nerf boons, just buff Hexes.
Like, to punish SWF using Exponential, NOED can be activated early and spammed until all totems are destroyed.

I wouldn't mind trading a cooldown for a radius increase I think you need to be way too close to a boon with their current design with the self healing gone, I love using them, I just wish I could get more value.
