Should there be changes to built in BT?
Now I totally agree that that survivors should have the extra hit after being unhooked for a set amount of time to prevent being tunneled out. Now the issue I see is that most of the time it's not used as an anti tunnel tool but as a defense for players who unhooked the survivor by body blocking. I find it problematic since it's not being used for its original purpose of an anti tunnel measure. I'd love to find a way that still allows the protection for the unhooked Survivor (maybe even extend the protection time a good bit) but take away their Collison to prevent bodyblocking for the unhooking survivor. Anyone else feel similar?

I absolutely agree. It's incredibly annoying and its literally begging the killer to tunnel you when you wanted to play nicely and go for the savior.

Yeah its complicated. This also doesn't factor in hit boxes being wonky around a hook sometimes where you swear you hit the unhooker but you hit the hooked Survivor before they can have a health state so it's functionally a miss

Something I worry about with this is if the survivor is right inside the killer, will the killer just immediately hit them the moment they tap m1? I agree with the intention 100000% tho

Yeah there is a possibility of this. I'd maybe throw in a basekit slightly weaker sprint burst to the unhooked survivor so they can actually get away

Maybe but I worry a survivor would still use it to body block purposefully, which would suck. I had thought maybe you straight up can't hit a survivor but idk that's a BIT cray

Yeah its complicated. As it stands I don't think it's in a good place. I'm all for not allowing a killer to tunnel but it shouldn't be used in a way that prevents killers from hitting fair targets

BT should just make the unhooked Survivor lose his hitbox for the duration/until he does any channeled actions (Healing, self-healing, doing a gen, doing a totem, saboing a hook/trapper trap/removing a Hag trap, opening a chest, etc.)
No being hit. No blocking the Killer. No progressing objectives unless you want to lose the protection.

This would just cause Survivors to run around, in front of the Killer to annoy them for the duration of their loss of hitbox. Esentially trying to bait out hits, now do this with bully squads that all use the same skin and you have a pretty hostile game to Killer.
Maybe we should look for a solution that does NOT encourage bullysquads.

I imagine there could be a way to set it so that attacks would ignore an entity with a hitbox that is overlapping your own.

survivors with endurance shouldnt be able to drop pallets or have collision

Just make the 10 seconds total ghost-mode. No collision, no hitbox. If you can't manually bodyblock or fish for a protective hit on your rescuer, you might actually be forced to use your invincibility to RUN AWAY AND NOT GET TUNNELLED, which was the whole point of the buff in the first place.

idk 95% of my games killer just counts to 10 and easily down a person again so if anything it needs a buff lol.

So basekit Off the Record, but with no collision, increase to 20-30 seconds, survivor gets Broken or Incapacitated status, and any interaction (healing, repair, item use, chest, etc) causes them to lose this invulnerability.
That’s basically taking the player out of the game temporarily.
