The hottest take of all time!!!
Tunneling and camping are both valid strategies that should not be as effective as spreading hooks or just going for chases in general
Although I am aware spreading hooks/going for chases in general is not *currently* viable enough for this to be the case, I would like it to be
Hopefully the heat produced from this take doesn't cause the world to burn

They're not even AS effective, they're considerably MORE effective.

Ikr what a mess we're in :(

ikr. I refuse to tunnel, I always try to 12 hook everybody. Whats sad is that I know that if I tunneled or camped, I could have easily won with a 4-3k instead of a 3 man out, since 12-hooking generally allows survivors to somewhat reset if you're not constantly downing people.

It's happened to me unintentionally so many times, I'm at 2 hooks on everyone and about to lose and it's just like damn I shoulda just played for money

I typically get called a tunneler if I go back to a spot someone was unhooked and I find the unhooked survivor self caring right by where i unhooked them (like under the hook or behind a rock right by the hook). Instances like that I have no sympathy for since you actively didn't try to be safe and made a bad decision. Other times when I come back I have the unhooked survivor either intentionally or unintentionally running into me when im hunting for other survivors so I naturally hit them. If these are both "tunneling" then it's 100% the survivors fault.
For camping, if I hook someone and see the entire team (or most of the team) around the person I just hooked and they aren't trying to lure me away then that's also 100% on the survivor. Trying to loop me around the hook is just a bad idea and I'm sorry I don't just look at a wall and give a free unhook.
I know most people agree these are fine, but terms like "tunneling" and "camping" get thrown around a bit too much without analyzing the specific situations.

I can't be bothered to get into specifics atm cuz I'm lazy sry lol but I agree w what u saying I just mean like hard tunneling when a surv is trying to avoid it and camping just to secure stages or wtv idk basically just the stuff most ppl would agree is nasty ykyk¿

Yeah I get that and I agree those are problematic

I always tunnel when Survivors unhook next to me and the unhooker isnt wounded, which happens alot since basekit BT was added.

I don't go out of my way to stop, or start tunneling. I don't tunnel, but if I'm 25 meters from the hook and someone unhooks you and disappears... I'm not just going to go right past you just to look for a healthy survivor in a jungle gym. That's ridiculous, but I'm also not just going to be like "ooh, injured survivor is easier than healthy survivor" That's ridiculous.

I'm playing for the win most of the time. If I can win by spreading hooks I will but if I see easy targets or gens fly I will do what needs to be done to secure that win. If they gen rush hard then I'll do my objective hard to keep up. I used to try and play nice but too many gg ez baby killers put me off careing what the other side thinks. When I play survivor it's the other way. I'll leave teammates for a extra hook state or Evan to die if it means finishing the gens. It sucks but the game makes you be ruthless if you want to win anymore.

Sadly, you would be correct

You could try spreading some hooks but if you have opportunity take someone out do that. This way your odds of winning are still good. 2 hooking everyone is kinda throwing the game even I understand it's noble thing to do.

Cuz killers don't repair gens silly :P
