Why haven't they added in an option to hide prestiges?
Am I the only one who thinks that we should have the option to hide our prestige? Why hasn't this been possible before the introduction of the rank and grade system rework? You gave us the option for Anonymous mode but no option for hiding prestige levels.
I'm tired of players lobby dodging and resetting the timer all because of prestige levels. If I switch to a P100 survivor, the killer will immediately disconnect at the offering loading screen without him receiving a disconnection penalty. It bleeds time and fun from everyone. Fix this.

Yeah, it's getting pretty ridiculous
Give P100's a skin and give us the option to hide Prestige Levels.

See, unlike the P100 Icon, you don't have to wear a skin.
11 -
For sure. There should absolutely be a cosmetic reward for that dedication to a character.
As it is, rather than be rewarded, you're kinda punished for hitting P100.
Of course the funny thing is that a lot of P100s aren't even that good, they just love their main.

Like me, I am bad.
But I love my boy Steve.

Can you tell me what P levels do your other survivors have?

The prestige seems fairly disconnected from the performance in trials. Some P100s have been absolute dire, whilst some single-figure prestiges have been astoundingly brilliant.
It feels just a pointless addition. There will be those who say if the prestige isn't viewable you don't know whether mmr is working, but it doesn't take much to comprehend the humour in mmr.

Anyone remember when they showed rank and character level in lobby? Then they removed it presumably to reduce dodging. Then they added Prestige lol.

Yeah and nothing has changed for the better.
Yesterday and today, I had so many lobby dodges and survivors or killers disconnecting at loading screen. This has to stop.
It's pathetic isn't it? There will be no end unless Bhvr finally is getting rid of showing prestige levels globally.

P100 on a survivor indicates SWF more than anything, so I'm not surprised a lot of killer players dodge them. It's unfortunate because it messes up the matchmaking system and causes mismatches due to backfilling. This happens to me all the time.
2 -
How on earth does P100 corellate with SWF?! Because the average solo Q player loses his mind before reaching 100 or what? xD
3 -
P100 has nothing to do with swf most of the time. If it's full P100 lobby that yes indicates swf but if it just one or two probably not. More often lower prestiges are swf.

I'd like to be able to hide mine as well. If I play my two favorite mains (Claire or Lisa), killers lobby dodge a lot.
1 -
I very much agree with this! It has taken me even over 5 minutes to get a Killer that would not dodge my lobby because I was playing a high prestiged survivor and maybe there was another one like me in the same lobby. Prestige has become a tool to condition (some) players instead of the flex it was meant to be. I would like it to be only shown at the end of the game, the same way it is now for the killer.

This unironically. SWFs can consistently stack bloodpoint offerings making it take significantly less time to get to P100. You would go insane going for P100 purely in solo queue the entire time. Also, I don't bother dodging P100. I've played against enough sweats and bullies that it doesn't matter anymore. They usually mean less points though. Most P100 squads last second switch when I'm not really paying attention anyways.

I mean i mosty solo q or at max play duo, i could be easily P100, but i dropped the Project because right now prestige only has downsides, so i spread my BP over as much different survs as possible to avoid getting them to a higher prestige fast. I still think its super bad game design, i just want to enjoy playing my favorite survivor without all the drawbacks, but atm im 99% of the time playing a low prestige in hope i get at least SOME enoyable matches.
What bothers me the most is that they are just completely silent about this as if they dont even care. People are asking on every single plattform, there are even Reddit Posts about it with over 4k Upvotes and ive NEVER seen a single response to that topic. Aren't there even community managers on this Forum? Can they maybe give us some insight about this?

You don't have to play only soloQ to get P100 you can play killer and use the bp on one survivor. And probably most who play soloQ at least sometimes play with friend. Someone who is P100 probably plays soloQ too while his swf is offline.

It doesn't matter if I hide my P100 Jeff, because if the killer is on Steam and they see my 6k hrs on my profile, they dodge anyways.

My friend you can hide your playtime in Steam

I say we hide all survivor prestiges from the killer in pre-game lobby by default. Even make it so survivors don't see other survivors prestige either unless you're queued with them. You couldn't see other peoples ranks before they reworked it into grades, or prestiges unless you were in a party with them. So why now?
I kind of get it when the system was fresh that BHVR wanted to show off the system, but we're accustomed to it now. Hide it from killer to improve killers dodging lobbies. Hiding it from survivors too would be good, since some survivors also dodge lobbies if they see low prestige survivors on their team.
The quality of matches decreases when people dodge lobbies, and I'm certain that visible prestige is big reason for many dodges.

i hope they don't give an option to hide character prestiges because i want to know how much bp the survivors i'm going against as killer have put into their survivor. it gives more likeliness that i'm going against BNPs and other fun stuff the higher their prestige is, because of just how much strong stuff you get just from filling out bloodwebs over hundreds and hundreds of times. someone else can take those matches for me when i dodge, i'd hate for that to get removed. yeah it sucks for the people who just wanna chill on their high prestige survivor but i think it's a necessary evil imho.

So basically - you want lobby shopping (and backfills)
1 -
I find it funny that some killers back out when they see a P100. Now what I'm about to say is just speculation. Before the Prestige update, I observed that I'd have way fewer killers quitting the lobby when I had my Steam profile on private, I guess some killers check for the hours you have and bailout? Perhaps prestige is a similar phenomenon?

I am quite happy to lobby dodge a quad 100 with 1 toolbox 3 flashlight with the obvious intent to send me to Ormond.
Let them die of old age in a lobby forever meant to be abandonned by killers, it's called karma.
1 -
Really enjoying how many killer players are selftelling that they lobby shop for easy games lmao
3 -
Replace "easy" by "decent".
I am sorry, as a low tier killer I am not interested to play the all decked out bully squads that purposely ruin this game for all killers by abusing the brain dead maps that allows them to get free wins all the time.
Nor do I appreciate playing TTV people who do the most toxic behaviors ever just to clown us (In fact, I love to tunnel and face camp those instead)

Thanks for providing a perfect example that prestige should be hidden. People are smart enough to pick low prestige chars for bully squads, you just want easy games.
Am i not allowed to play against "low tier killer" when i pick a high prestiged char in your opinion?

I know, but I don't really care about killers dodging me, because they only see numbers and just think I have to be a god or something. I play this game for 4.5 years now and just have fun (most times).
Players who just look at numbers don't get it. Prestige=/=skill. It just shows what your favourite character is. I bet some people don't even know that prestige is not used for matchmaking.
I have 6k hrs. Some killers dodge me since I have half of that playtime. But I don't really care about it.

The reason I don't like dodging is because it messes with matchmaking, and BHVR have confirmed this. Lobbies where 5 players are initially grouped up together are supposedly higher quality than lobbies where there is backfill, the killer leaves and another killer takes their place, etc.
So anything that encourages dodging will theoretically cause lower quality matches. Also the whole dilemma of people being tunneled out due to their prestige, etc. I just think the game would be better off with it hidden until the scoreboard.

True.

Lobby dodging is one way selfish players are guaranteeing others get a worse game experience. BHVR know this is a problem with matchmaking yet they still haven't done a thing to fix it.
