Exit gates should be blocked for 15 seconds after closing Hatch
On large and some medium size maps, all the survivor has to do is wait at the exit gate for the killer to close hatch then start opening the exit gate. If the hatch wasn't close to that exit gate, which is the case most of the time, it's a guaranteed escape for the survivor since the killer can't reach the survivor in time before they open the gate. I see this as a cheese. The hatch battle should purely be about hatch and survivors shouldn't be able to cheese it by waiting at the exit gate. The exit gates should be blocked for 15 seconds after closing hatch to prevent this. In most of my games, survivors wait until the last 40% of EGC to start opening exit gates, so this change only impacts the survivors that are trying to cheese by waiting at the exit gate.

Or let The Killer Delve into The Hatch for bonus BP ("Match Result: UNKNOWN", walking through black Fog), and The Survivor subsequently being Killed by The Entity.
Treat The Hatch more like a neutral event, a drain. If the Survivor finds it, they enter and the Trial ends. If the Killer finds it, they enter and the Trial ends.

Most of the time both exit gates are within line of sight. If you’ve gotten to the point where you’ve closed hatch, you will pip and have won the match. Blocking the exit gate switches just extends an already finished game.

Devs have said multiple times that endgame shouldn't favour anyone. It's purely a means to an end. As said above, there are plenty of times when gates spawn close to each other. It's pure RNG. Sometimes they spawn further away from each other, which can end up giving some leeway to a survivor going against a killer with poor map traversal. But other times they're so close any killer can stand in between them and watch both doors.

Hilly billy just pops out of a hole in the ground next to the survivor camp fire "Man that place is dark. And full of cobwebs. How do you guys crawl through that every match?"

My suggestion is to block them for 15 seconds. This is barely any longer. As I said, this 15 second block won't even have an impact in most of the games since survivors usually wait to the last 40% of EGC to open the gate and reaching the gate within 15 seconds is rare. The block only impacts games where survivors try to cheese an escape by waiting at the gates.
Don't see how this is relevant. Also, to me, the ability to wait at an exit gate to cheese an escape is survivor sided.

f'kin lol

If you're having trouble getting to the survivor after closing hatch you can run No Way Out. Not only will it block the gate for you but it'll also let you know which exit the survivor was at.

That's a band-aid solution. You can't suggest running perks to resolve every issue in the game.

By that point in the game i am ready to go next and start a new game. I dont even want to wait an additional 15 seconds. Honestly, a 4k shouldnt be that important to you.

As much as that statement is true it's also a fact that they've explicitly chosen to balance their game that way. People have a problem? Drop a perk that fixes it in the next chapter.
Doesn't matter if it's situational and thus leaves you potentially weakened when the opposition chooses not to use the strategy you were trying to preemptively counter. It's there so problem solved. Is basically how they look at it.

He's right though. Of course the Survivors won't see the obvious issue here, which is that if you've already come to the point where the hatch spawns, YOU LOST. If the Killer finds hatch, you also lost your second chance escape. But the fact is that, Killers can't close hatch and guarantee a win, while survivors can escape through hatch when they find it.
Hatch doesn't give MMR, gates do. But I want a 4k, so I'll close the hatch anyway. But it's so ridiculous, I swear. You close hatch, hold W towards a gate, and the guy gets out before you can even make it.
Hatch is a 2nd chance and Survivors can force the Killer to give them MMR if they simply wait it out and play on the Killer's patience.
Hatch shouldn't favor survivors, it should favor Killer. They already won.

As I've said, the 15 second wait won't have any impact in most games. In most games, the survivor will not reach the exit gate within 15 seconds, so it will already be unblocked by the time they get there. It mainly only impact players trying to cheese an escape by waiting at the exit gate.
If you are already ready to go next and truly don't care any more, run to the killer so they can kill you. That literally saves far more time than running around for hatch, waiting for the killer to close it, and trying to open the exit gates.

It's not an issue that requires a basekit fix since Killers aren't meant to 4k every match just as survivors aren't meant to escape every match. The RNG in one match may favor that survivor but in the next match it may favor the killer. If the last survivor escapes you got a 3k - your kill rate was 75%, BHVRs kill rate goal is 60% so you are above their kill rate goal.

Yes I would love this as a event thing first

I was speaking about being ready to go next from a killer perspective but interesting you immediately th on that it was a survivor pov

Then don't close the hatch and let the survivor escape through it. Literally just go afk and let the survivor find hatch on their own.

But end game IS massively survivor favored?
They can, 1, just fix the generator and open the gate 2, just enter the hatch 3,just open the gate right after killer closes the hatch, all while killer has to jump the hoops of gate RNG and hatch RNG or even survivor location RNG.
So yeah, end game MUST be neutral just like they say, if killer find the hatch killer wins, if survivor find the hatch survivor wins, no more 2 arbitrary second chances that survivor has for absolutely no reason.

Killer is quicker (covering larger portion of map then survivor during same time). Killer has abilities (that can help with gates too, not just hatch). Killer can even camp hatch to find survivor if he wants to waste everyone's time. Killer can use hatch offering and by the nature of the game - will have huge advantage from it compared to (unprepated) survivor.
No. RNG is biggest factor right now and endgame on average is now pretty even.

Just got out of a 15 minute hatch standoff due to this. I was on the hatch waiting as Wraith while survivor was at the exit games. If I close hatch, survivor opens gate and I lose. If survivor comes to hatch, I chase survivor and win. A block on the exit gates needs to be implemented to prevent hatch stand off.
