I am once again asking for better solo queue matchmaking

Cut the acceptable MMR range between teammates in half. I don't care if I've been in queue for a minute. I'd rather not play at all than get thrown into whatever garbage game it throws me into if queues go that long.

I generally play at two times of day: afternoon and late evening. In the afternoon, the role bonus is usually 0-50% and my escape rate is ~70% in solo queue. The games are generally good. Teammates have roughly my experience level and aren't openly stupid in their gameplay. I escaped 6 of 7 games this afternoon with a Head On build.

In the evening, the role bonus is usually locked at 100% in either direction. I would classify solo queue as unplayably bad when the role bonus is 100%. My escape rate is well below 50% when the role bonus is that high. My teammates don't seem to be anywhere close to my skill level and they often have a fraction of my hours.

My win rate shouldn't be cut in half depending on the time of day that I play. That is way too much inconsistency. I'm not changing as a player between afternoon and evening. My escape rate in a full 4 man SWF is ~80%. I'm probably closer to a 70-80% escape rate player than a 30% escape rate player. The only thing that is changing is player population and likely the MMR range among teammates.

I actually don't mind dying when it's a mistake I made or I went for a play that failed. But it's really annoying when there's nothing I can do. My perks feel like they don't matter at all. My chases feel like they don't matter. One or two people in the lobby are going to be so out of place that there is literally nothing that can win the game. It's a 3v2 and it isn't fun.

Cut the teammate MMR range in half. Do whatever you have to do to stop this weak link crap. Or give me some indicator in the lobby that it's about to be a waste of time.

We need to increase the average MMR of SWFs and lower the average MMR for SoloQ. So everyone will be given the appropriate challenge.

Killers included. You shouldn't forget them.

Yesterday I played survivor (solo) for the first time since the chapter release, because I needed to catch up on tome stuff. I really don't know what was going on with matchmaking at all.

Like you, in the afternoon it's always really good, I get great teammates that can last more than 20 seconds, and do gens. But in the evening it's just a big wildcard and just ends up a terrible unfun experience.

I know I'm not the best survivor in the world, and on top of that I'm very rusty but I was getting people with 100 hours being matched with me while the killers had thousands, compared to the afternoon where it felt like it was completely on par. Bleh.

Also while we're at it raise the cap on killer so I can actually get fun survivors that actually have a chance and so I don't destroy people that clearly have no chance against me :)

Do you can waste others time with lobby dodging? I think not.

I wonder if its because kids don't go to school in the evenings. So during the day time those of us who have days off in the middle of the week have a better experience. It's mostly other adults who have free time during the week before school lets out. I've noticed recently that there is absolutely no point in playing at night time and it occurred to me that it could be because all the kids are playing that would be in school all the other times. Possibly other adults too who aren't at work anymore at night. Either way its really annoying in Solo Q right now.

It could be. I'm closer to 40 than 30. Although I will say most of the players in the comp scene are teenagers and I absolutely could not keep up with them once the pandemic lifted and I had to go back to work full time. I think it's honestly more a function of trying to accommodate queue times at the expense of quality matches when role populations become imbalanced. They go way too far in the direction of queue times. Just wish they'd acknowledge it more than anything at this point. I'm even starting to see some youtubers do videos on how awful the games get in the evening.
