When real cross-save?
It's frustrating that all current games have cross-save and in this one it's limited. If I want to have my advanced progress and my paid dlcs on another platform you should give access.
Please, you should implement it, we are in 2023.

They spend so much on licenses and updating the game and giving their workers a meaningful wage. Itd be hard to do that when also sony and microsoft are taxing them if most of their console players move to pc.

Not all consolers would abandon them for PC, but enough of them would because of the significant performance differences to feel it financially. They do know this is a wanted thing, just need to make a deal they all can live with. Hopefully they're still actively trying to do that.
Too bad all this wasn't in place when they ported this game on over. If I had to start from scratch again I'd quit personally.

They have clearly stated it’s out of their hands at this point. Maybe you all should start asking Sony/Microsoft for this?

I can't come to believe that he is out of his possibilities, being the creator. Look at games from other companies, Fall guys, OverWatch, among many others, managed to do it.
i started on ps4 when this game came out and i feel compelled to switch platforms i dont want my progress to die

I was a ex stadia player, it was a unique platform that had a 100% functional cross progress, it was the best platform.

Steam and Epic also support cross progress completely
Just because others have done it doesn’t mean Sony/Microsoft allows it for every other game unconditionally
DbD has been out for a while and is still pretty popular, the platform owners get money for every purchase on their platform (auric cell packs, DLCs) as well as people having to buy online subscriptions in order to be able to play it. Now it’s not a secret that the game is awfully optimized on consoles and many would switch to PC if available..

it's not like that, I tested the crossover with epic and steam, the dlc and level didn't follow, so it doesn't make sense, stadia I shared all the dlc I had and the level and devotion, everything.

It's not just DBD the likes of Warframe is still awaiting cross save, so hopefully devs pushing for it will make it more easier for everyone to do in the future.

Well then you did something wrong?
it is sharing DLCs, purchases, levels etc.
just auric cells bought via the platform itself won’t get shared though that was the same for Stadia…
