When is the Skull Merchant Rework?
I'm talking about a full blown Freddy level rework. This...pathetic excuse for a killer needs a rework to actually be FUN. Even after her update... EVERY SINGLE SKULL MERCHANT I have faced just continues to drone drop on gens. The update to where she doesn't get the drone back as fast after it gets disabled is PATHETICALLY bad. She always has one extra drone for her gens she doesn't want to leave.
This killer is the worst thing added to the game when it comes to fun because she doesn't loop, she stays in one area and bores you to death. Anyone who dcs as soon as they see her drone or sacrifices themselves on first hook I don't blame them because she is annoying. No one wants a 15 minute last gen stand off!!! I will never buy her with shards or cells until I see her get an overhaul.
Waste of a chapter. Waste of a rift. Also her base on Sheltered Woods in an eye sore.

I made a discussion about her on RPD, she is literally a killer that makes you regret even going on to Dead by Daylight. You simply cannot balance her ability. A rework is the best thing for her.

No a Freddy level rework SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN....look at Freddy and Slinger they are the laughing stocks of the Killer roster...Trapper is more feared than them combined

slinger went from being strong to just solid. Can't compare him to d tier killers like trapper

The amount of effort required to make Skull Merchant a good killer would be on par with creating a new killer altogether. So the devs are highly unlikely to ever fix her.

Solid he's a joke i have YET to see a Slinger even get more than one Kill and those were through camping....the only time I came close to dying to a Slinger was when I got cocky and didn't think about NOED....but the other 3 survivors syringed me and played decoy so I could get up and leave. His ADS is sluggish, his power is easily dodged, and his TR is so huge you can leave the area before your even within range of his gun.
I someone knowa how to play Trapper and use his addon well then you can die very quickly to him. The downfall for Trapper is all the bright maps they came out with where you can't hide the traps.

yeah.. freddy and deathslinger reworks... ouch. there is no reworks. Learn to play issue with 3 gens.

With the new changes 3-gens will be harder to protect even for Skully...since BHVR seems to ignore Gen Speed Perks, tool boxes and BNPs....
We will see three gens fly even faster than ever before.

All they would have to do is make her drones AI and roam like the zombies. That literally solves the main issue with gen trapping.

something tells me that dev's will buff gen speed perks more. I think Thalita Lyra perk which is called friendly competition that increases repair speed by 5% for 45/60/75 second will get buffed to 6% with no duration similar to Deja Vu.

The gen rush perks are the devs way to "balance" the game instead of fixing the core issues with maps and killer powers on said maps.

Yea that's why I'm not looking forward for the changes....I agree 3-gen from the start needed to be addressed but making gens go FASTER with a perk that synergizes well with all other speed perks and tool boxes isn't the way to go

All they need to do is to stop lock on timer to go up if the survivor is working on a gen within an area. She will know they're there but they won't get exposed
Will this kill her? Most likely, and I don't see a problem with it. No she does not need a 'compensation buff'

That wouldn't really solve the issue nor would it actually be good for her. Keep in mind they constitute her entire power and already don't offer her basically any value unless they are positioned in places survivors need to go. Even to get her secondary effect requires survivors to feel the need to interact with it, but if they aren't near gens survivors will just ignore them. Roaming drones wouldn't really solve her problems it would just make her have the same problems as Knight and Nemesis.

No killer should ever be changed on the level of the original Freddy rework ever again. At best that rework was a necessary evil to be avoided in the future at all costs, it's catastrophically bad for the game to do it more than once.
Anyway, if the upcoming 3-gen solutions are properly effective, everyone's problem with Skull Merchant should quietly go away.
