You think just one killer being down is harsh?
Back when Blight first came out that update caused an insta-overheat for all Xbox1x machines (not slims or regular Xbox1's mind you, just Xbox1x) whenever you started DBD. Had to wait for the next patch for a fix.
When Nemesis came out with the first Resident Evil chapter release that update wreaked all consoles across the board, unplayable for like two or three weeks.
I know you're hurting my friend, but it could be far far worse. These kind of things are simply part of this game's charm!

Bugs happen in every game and "kill switch" as well, it was just bad timing and bad luck it happened just now. Hope there is some kind of compensation of some kind, like longer anniversary event for example, but definitely Wesker should still be disabled until proper fix happens because it's not just a quirky silly bug and it's an actual game breaking one. The team is clearly trying to fix everything as soon as possible with the tools they have, let's not be unserious and think this is some kind complot or to think they're lazy and they don't care about this issue. After all it's Wesker, of course they're going to try to fix him as soon as possible lol. Don't let this ruin the event for you and try to enjoy it with some other characters! :)

Bro I'm sorry but it completely ruined it idk what to tell you in my eyes there busy working on least important stuff and not this this should be at the top game health needs to be at the top there pretty much throwing every wesker player outside saying nope you don't get any while the other players who main other killers are having a blast that's what it feels like I was so hyped to get a bunch of the flans on him to get him to p100 because I'm p61 but nah and I'm not the only wesker main that feels this way at all

I hope this is the biggest oppression to ever experience in your life. It sucks but don’t think they don’t care and are not working on a fix asap, it’s just unfortunate and luckily it’s something that doesn’t prevent the game from being played. Hope it gets fixed soon so you can enjoy the event at some point! :)

Could go to the Capcom forums and bring light to this. Maybe capcom will give a msg to BHVR and get something moving. Cant imagine it is a good thing to piss off fans like this. But given the track record, we, the players/fans/lifeblood of this company, will be ignored, so get the other companies to try and act.

Well it's ridiculous like you dont realize how frustrating it really is this isn't fair and you need guys need to do more about it either fix him quickly during the event atleast or gives use compensation this isn't are fault it's on you I just want my anniversary offerings like everyone else wants on there main killers like can you atleast do something

Wesker being not even able to level up is a discrimination of 50% of killer mains. (jk lol, but 1% truth)
The problem is not that you cant play him, i am ok with him being unplayable until he is fixed. But the problem is that you cant even level him.
Why not just deactivate him while in match-search? Why is he locked for the entire homescreen? Just locking the match-search button for him and locking him while in pre-match would be enough.
thats not an argument, just because you make mistakes all the time does not mean that it is ok to make those mistakes.

I think it's because the anniversary happens only once a year and is the big opportunity to load up on the special cakes
