Nerf the singularity

I don’t know what the devs are seeing but I’m constantly seeing the singularity yes 4 kills every match. I play due to their constant teleportation and pallet, breaking with overcharge. I do think that overcharge is good for the singularity, but there should be a cool down to how often he can break pallets. Also, he should not be able to get an expose, hit off starstruck when he slipstreams.

As he is now prior to his buffs he is not that strong at all, he has a lot of counterplay. You just need more practice against him and know when and how to use the resources to counter him in chase + EMPs. It’s a struggle to play him now. Will see his state after the buffs coming next patch.

    Cheers! :)

Nah, I've seen streamers just tear through groups of people using him. He's able to spam his cameras, like sure, the EMPs can disable them, but he'll just shoot another camera right next to it and then continue to do so after the EMP blasts. That same line of reasoning you used as advice can also go both ways with learning how to play him. It seems like the new Meta these days is asking for nerfs to counter-plays, because the player doesn't want to learn looping/killer powers.

It's way too early for buffs.

Dude, just spam EMP’s like everybody else.

Nah, I've seen streamers just rip through people seamlessly. I know the EMPs seem like they're happening way too much, but this dude can spam cameras. Sure, the EMPs destroys them, temporarily, but they can just spit a new camera right next to the destroyed one, and so on.

That same line of reasoning, "You just need more practice against him and know when and how to use the resources to counter him in chase + EMPs," can be used vice versa; learning how to use his powers in a chase can make all the difference.

I'm just saying, it's way too early to add in some buffs.

The numbers must say and show that most people struggle playing him and he is not performing as expected. Just because you found a few streamers that do well on him doesn’t mean it’s the regular thing. There are people who 4k usually on Freddy and that does not mean he is overpowered. The same way people need to figure out how to play as him, people need to learn how to play against him, and more people learned faster to go against him than playing as him because it’s way easier to counter him than playing as him. To this day there are people who struggle against Hag or Twins because they’re not used to different gameplay that these killers require against them. Practice makes perfect!

    Cheers :)

I understand, as well as everyone learns at different rates. In this case, it seems that it takes a little more to learn to play them than it is to play against them. I'm not saying this as just a survivor main, because it goes both ways. There is lots of hate against the knight and SM, but it's because it takes a bit more time to learn to counter them. Although, I think it's mostly because of the 3-gen issue.

Knight and SM are fairly new + the metas didn’t favor their cases, I brought up Hag and Twins since they’re older killers and some players still struggle against them because these killers are also kind of rare and are not used to the gameplay they required. I’m sure that if Singularity excels and over performs they will tune him down or rework him, same as SM is already said to be getting a rework. Don’t worry and keep trying your best, he is definitely not that big of a deal as of now if you really know when and how to face him in chase + the map is not a death zone. Hope you enjoy versing him soon and have a positive experience, especially during the upcoming event :)

What I'm scared for (and kinda happy about) is BHVR making Singularity more accessible, simply because for those of us who's playstyle lines up with Hux's unique power he's going to become very powerful

    and pallet, breaking with overcharge.

first off, its overclocked not overcharge. Overcharge is a perk from the doctor

but I’m constantly seeing the singularity yes 4 kills every match. I play due to their constant teleportation and pallet, breaking

pre-dropping the pallet works very often against the singularity. He is a killer build around punishing pallet stuns.

Over all the singularity as of right now is not very strong BUT has a lot of potential when he is in the right hands. A lot of people say he is unplayable but in my opinion he is a higher than average killer. He seems pretty strong to me and i dont consider myself a good singularity player.

But he definitely dont deserves a nerf. He is only strong when played in the right hands, average killer players will bomb his overall statistics into the ground, making is seem like he is weak.

One nerf i could accept would be a cooldown on his teleport. Him being able to teleport again right after his overclock ends seems a bit to strong. Just like 7 or 10 seconds would be enough in my opinion.

    In the right hands

This. Hux is unique, and plays very differently, in a way many people don't enjoy. There are a few of us that love the camera kinda of playstyle tho.

If you are having issues against him thats on you. How a singularity chase goes:

    • Get the slipstream off
    • It gets instantly removed because emps are everywhere
    • You just lost distance
    • Do that again, now you can tp and be oppressive (unless they grabbed another emp mid chase, or a teammate emp'd them, or they broke LOS. Repeat until none of those happen.

You also cant play setup with him because emps are broken. Theres nothing stopping a survivor from just sitting on a cammed gen with their emp, waiting until they get streamed and instantly disabling the cam and infection now that you've got eyes on them. Theres no time to teleport to them or anything, and the emps lock you out of MULTIPLE cameras and can cleanse infinite slipstreams from a MASSIVE AOE through walls.

If you get caught without an EMP hes pretty good, but since they generate faster than you are gonna need to use them you'll typically always have one when you need it. Lethal is super good on him because it lets him get an easy early hook because emps havent generated yet, making for an easy chase. But later into the game the EMPs are everywhere and for every infection you get theres a million emps to cleanse it.
