Machine Learning is Designed poorly

It was just brought to my attention that in order to put machine learning on a gen... you have to kick it TWICE.

Kicking the gen once activates it...

The NEXT gen you kick becomes afflicted with machine learning. WHY would you design it like this? What was the reason!?

It should NOT be the next generator you kick, it should just be the LAST generator you kicked.

Why this kerfluffle about activating it with a kick and then being able to use it. That's so weird and makes no sense, and just makes it clunky. Just have it activate on the last gen you've kicked!

I have tried it with Bubba using machine learning, Tinkerer, Bamboozle, Deadlock.

I can't think of better setup for this, but it's still bad.

Yes, I was watching Bronx try to do it tonight, and I was FLABBERGASTED that it requires two gen kicks... EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO USE IT.

I ran it with infinity tier 3 Myer's with similar perks. the perk is pretty bad just how I expected from the PTB. I also tried it with Legion using susies tape and mischief list. it works for legion if you want a perk that specializes in 5 hitting and sort of punishes staying injured in soloq. I think if the perk was more simple like kick a gen, gain haste for x time. the perk would be more practical to use on killers. current version is too much work for not much gain.

Thing is that for this to work you actually have to let survivors finish gen, which is not really good concept.

If survivors work on multiple gens, which they should, then this perk is complete garbage.

#########, is this real? Could a Dev confirm this?

    yes, it's real sadly.

"after performing the damage generator action, this perk activates. While this perk is active, the next generator you damage..."

Basically, you kick a gen which activates the perk, and after you kick a gen again the perk is applied to the gen. Not only that, but every gen you kick after the second gen, machine learning SWAPS to. So if you use this perk, you cannot kick gens anymore after the second gen unless you're trying to move the perk to a new gen.

If it needs to be this way, I think it shouldn't be a second kick that applies the perk, it should have a new interaction like the "snuff boon" interaction, where you press space bar at a generator and it applies the perk.

Why do you have to kick gen in first place?

It wouldn't be really that good even if it was passive whenever gen is finished.

Kicking requirement makes it really bad.

Just having it activate on the last three gens you kicked would be a very much better way of doing this perk. You already have no control over if this perk even activates once during a game. With this, at least the last gen would be guaranteed to give you some value.
