Please note: Although we may stop by occasionally, this is not a developer Q&A.
We have temporarily disabled Firecrackers and the Flashbang Perk due to a bug which could cause the Killer's game to crash. These will be re-enabled in an upcoming patch when the issue is resolved.

Is it okay to manually adjust your volume to gain an advantage?

Like when I'm patrolling as killer I raise my volume so I can hear things like injured survivors better. But when I get into chase and everything's too loud then I lower it.

Is this okay to do, or does it seem like cheating?

Nothing wrong with increasing your volume high when you're listening out for audio cues and lowering it when you're less "on alert" It's not like you're isolating all other audio and just keeping player sounds. I use headphones and can hear most things quite well but I'd imagine if I had the same settings using speakers i'd lose a hell of a lot of awareness.

    TLDR - Fair game
