The Real Issue With Tunneling (In My Opinion)
Tunneling for the most part is fine, it acts as way for the Killer to get pressure and still brings interaction between the Survivor and Killer unlike Camping, which at the very least makes things interesting. So what exactly is the issue with it?
Bloodpoints. The issue with Tunneling is the fact that the person being Tunneled has no effective way of raising their Bloodpoints in other categories besides Boldness. A Survivor who is Tunneled all game and let's their teammates complete the Generator will normally leave with around 13K BP by the end of it, despite the fact that their own skills contributed to everyone else's escape.
I think instead while you are in chase, you should be able to get a "wasting the Killer's time" or "buying time" Bloodpoint Score based on whatever actions your teammates do while you are in chase, i.e. Altruism BP if they complete a heal, Objective BP if they finish repairing a Generator, etc.

No, people don't like Tunneling because it removes them from the game fast when it works (they barely can't play) and also because they can't do anything else other than just running away from the Killer and it is obvious that you are the target number one which can be annoying.

Excellent point. It would be cool to see something like if a survivor gets tunneled they get a small bonus to wiggling speed, or the killer is debuffed, and if that ends up letting the survivor escape grasp, they get loads of points. Something like if a survivor dies before 6 hooks is reached they get a bonus, or the first survivor that dies gets bonus points for every survivor that escaped after them.

I dont think that the dev team will ever really be able to stop the worst part of gaming from being in this game. At the end of the day, if it awards 0 bloodpoints, or kicks them from the game, or stops them from getting any kills, people will still purposefully camp and tunnel and slug and hack and whatever else.
It's better to make sure that people that play nice get rewarded for it than to punish the people that don't.
