Why is Killer's Belongings kind of inconsistent?

I was just wondering if Nemesis' zombies are considered killer's belongings so I hopped on the DBD wiki and it's not listed anywhere.

But there is a list of certain interactables that are considered belongs and some that are not.

Why are these not tracked by the map add-on Red-Twine:

  • Alarm Clocks
  • Cages of Atonement
  • Pools of Devotion
  • Supply cases

At first I thought "well you can see their aura already", but then I remembered you can also see Pig's boxes which is similar to the least above, but it's listed in the wiki as being tracked by the add-on.

So what gives?

Also what about Nemesis' zombies? Can they be tracked or not? Also what about Lockers? Why can't they be tracked?

You've basically answered this yourself - it's an inconsistency. There isn't really any clear cut definition of what a 'Killer Belonging' is when it comes to their powers or if their powers should or shouldn't be tracked.

Nemesis' Zombies can't be tracked with a map, and neither can lockers (which I presume you mean when it comes to Dredge).

You could flag these as bugs but I don't know if BHVR consider them bugs or intentional design choices.

I assume the zombies thing is because they aren’t stationary and the map doesn’t track such things. Lockers… idk… maybe because they’re only considered a belonging when it comes to certain killers? The rest… I can’t answer really.

Would be nice if it was more consistent. I think all those things should count as killer belongings. I understand Nemesis' zombies can be hard to code, but they indeed are killer belongings.

Lockers can also be considered killer belongings for Huntress and Trickster (although they are probably like gens, so even generally they should be considered imo).
