Nope. This sadako rework is not it

Absolutely not.

the only thing she needed was a reduced cooldown on the TV’s getting turned back on. And for her invisibility to not start a chase.

holding a cursed tape doesn’t seem to affect the survivors anymore. She’s an M1 killer with no antiloop. What’s stopping a good survivor who knows how to loop to just hold on to the tape forever?

not only that but you can now put the tape in ANY TV? So I can just run 2 seconds from the TV to the next and remove the condemn.

i get that there’s no range to the 3/4 condemn projection. But I’d rather have a limited range if it means I can teleport constantly. But I guess I’ll have to see

While some things about this rework are interesting, I really don't like the 15 seconds cooldown to her teleport. I get why they did that, since spamming global condemn would be too strong, but I don't like it very much, it makes Sadako less fun. One of the best things about Sadako's power is the freedom and quickness to move around the map, hit-and-run and apply pressure. To compensate for that, each TV has a cooldown of its own.

But now Sadako has a large cooldown on her power AND the TVs still have a cooldown on top of that. To make it worse, the time they stay disabled after being turned off by survivors is EVEN HIGHER now.

Seriously, Dredge can teleport around the whole map, with far more spots to go to, 3 times every 12 seconds, with an add-on to reduce it to 8 seconds. During nightfall, the cooldown is just 4 seconds, with an add-on that can reduce it to 1,5 second! Meanwhile, Sadako can teleport only once every 15 seconds and every teleporting destination becomes unusable for a whole minute? That just doesn't sound fair.

Not to mention that it will be far more punishing now to teleport to the wrong TV (specially when there are 2 of them aligned and you accidentally target the wrong one). Went to the wrong place? Now you will have to wait 15 seconds before going anywhere else. Ironically, a Mint Rag buff was announced for exactly the same reason.

The funny part is that this is meant to work as a slow down mechanic. But really, once you have grabbed yourself a tape, she basically can't condemn you, which means you can spend more time on gen, give her less of a power to work with and less opportunities to slow the game naturally. You disable her teleport, which counters her hit and run capabilities and she doesn't have a chase power, so hooking isn't really a valid way to build up condemned stacks either. And even if she does miraculously get a lot of hooks, wouldn't she win the game anyway then? Why even bother trying to condemn survivors?

So what they did to Sadako was: Incentivise countering her teleport, increase the TV cooldown, add safety from condemnation while holding a tape and removal of condemned stacks in less than 10 seconds (seriously, her TVs are everywhere).

Her power's base kit now counters itself and she has absolutely no agency over her power. Seriously, they have just released a killer like that, which immediately got enough negative feedback to warrant a hotfix just days after the initial release and now they do it again. I know that this was already done way in advance but they had to know that this would not be received well.

At least we can be sure this won't make it to live servers. The people that think this is a good change will probably test her on the PTB and see how ridiculously undertuned this killer has become. Unless I'm missing something huge.

Absolutely ridiculous. I saw someone coming up with an interesting solution to the tp cooldown. How about a token based system like Blight? You get a set amount of tokens and the faster you use them, the slower they’ll recharge. I really like this idea
