Hatch has broken me

I can't slug for a 4k anymore. It's so unbelievably boring. I have matches extend past 30-40 minutes because I don't want to risk depiping from lack of chase or sacrifice points

Please BHVR, do something about hatch. Make it more skill based I beg. Its boring for both sides

I'm probably going to quit untill they change something (if they do) because I simply can't do this anymore

    Or settle for the 3K?

I mean chances are you find the hatch before they do anyway 50% of the time or more.

Quitting because of this is a little dramatic.

If you get to the point where you can slug for the 4k (which means two ppl already dead), how on earth are you at risk of depipping? You should have at least safety pip there, more likely +1 pip. So just hook the third and risk the forth finding the hatch before you.

If you REALLY depip in such a situation, are you camping excessively or do the survivors give up / DC frequently? Bc. thats the only possibility to lack out of emblems to actually depip in this situation.

Unless hatch spawns right at survivor's feet killer usually wins hatch. Then it's exit gates which also tend to lean in killer's favor.

That depends on map, some gates are simply 50/50, because you can't guard both of them.

But few maps have gates where you can see both basically from one spot.

Imaginé complaining because you can’t 4K every time

Bet you would complain if a random survivor died during EGC after you completed 5 gens.

So you're saying a mechanic that activates AFTER a 3k (which in most cases means the killer deserves a 4k) is balanced?

So you have to get 3 kills, then do a 50/50 on hatch, and THEN hope the exit gates are close enough to patrol?

Also idk what world you live in but as a killer main I can tell you gates are usually too far to patrol or obstructed lmao.

Why does a 3K automatically mean a 4K is deserved? That's like saying repairing 4 gens means you deserve to repair the 5th.

That's the entire point of the hatch. A 3K is a 3K, not an automatic 4K. This distinction has to be made, because if every 3K = 4K, kill rates are grossly inflated (resulting in killer nerfs and harder killer games where it's even harder to 3K) and it means when it gets down to the last 2 survivors, the game is already lost. If the game is lost at 2 survivors, then survivors give up, and then even a 2K becomes an automatic 4K, which grossly inflates kill rates, etc. etc.

    I said most cases.

Because of course the last two survivors can finish the final generator and one of them can get the gate.

But why do I get a 3k at 4 gens left just because of RNG bullcrap? Why doesn't a random survivor have a heart attack and die when 5 gens are done with zero kills?

Because... if every survivor had 0 chance of escaping the moment the 2nd survivor is sacrificed, even at 4 gens, then that's an automatic 4K, and kill rates are grossly overinflated...

You want games to be either 0k or 4k, and nothing inbetween?

In order to make that balanced, it would be incredibly difficult to sacrifice even one survivor, because the moment you sacrifice the second, you've won the game.

You would stress out a lot less if you just hung that third survivor and made it a hatch game. If you're de-pipping in this scenario, it's because you're getting dinged for being too close to hooked survivors, more than likely.

Killer main. I always hang the third survivor and make it a hatch game (unless the other survivor is literally on top of me). I can't tell you the last time I de-pipped in this scenario.
