Wesker should be slightly tuned down
I see many people say Wesker is the most balanced killer in the game. I don't think so. Demogorgon is balanced, since he is average on all his aspect. Wesker instead has the mobility of Nurse, chase power of Demogorgon, vaulting ability of Legion, passive slowdown of Pig (Uroburos infection) and tunneling ability of Pyramid Head (after being infected you go slow and he will eventually catch you, especially with Video conference device). I would at least pause the infection progress while in chase after being unhooked, or maybe pause it down automatically for 1 minute.

Mobility of nurse isn't anything special, chase power of demogorgon is not anything special, vaulting ability of wesker is massively downgraded version of legion, same goes for slowdown, and tunneling ability is nowhere near close to PH because it takes LOT of seconds to fully infected after unhook, every killer will eventually catch you.
1 minute is too long, it could be paused during chase but I doubt it to do anything because by the time infection reaches MAX the killer wasted enough time on you, kinda like bloodlust 3.

Mobility of nurse... Nurse using blinks perfectly across the map is still just as fast as a 115 walking across the map.
11 -
I'd say just pause Infection after an unhook until Survivors do a conspicuous action or use an item.
4 -
With his bugs getting removed I think it'll be a lot better.
Also think the buff to his power hitbox should get reverted but that's just me.
4 -
Nurse is lacking mobility, on big maps she can outright struggle
4 -
Wow, Wesker joins the popular strpng killer club and the proof is already here.
The nerf threads are coming for him.
4 -
Considering her absolutely busted chase potential, I think that's more than fair.
2 -
he always was popular and always was considered one of the strongest killers
1 -
i am fine with his tunnel ability being neutered only if they make wesker good in the chase vs pallet loops.
3 -
That's irrelevant. The point is, Nurse's strength isn't her mobility. So "mobility of Nurse" isn't really saying anything.
1 -
Because killer players are never allowed to have anything nice...

Yes killers can have strong things too.
We don't need to make Wesker a thing everyone screams needs a nerf.
Go make the 99th Blight is OP thread, at least it has logic in it.
2 -
I was more referring to the "she can struggle". Definitely true and I think it's deserved.
1 -
" Has the mobility of Nurse " yeah i love to Sprint throug Walls whit Wesker .... oh wait
2 -
Thats comparing her just going in a straight line, and I think we all know that Nurse doesnt care about walls.

All Wesker needs is his infection to pause after being unhooked until the survivor performs a conspicuous action.

Yes to the first, no to the second.
Why? Have you played him on the ptb? He hit every tiny Pixel. It felt horrible.
Like Blight when he would either slide off everything or hit tiny stuff that was barely there. Upon release your hitbox was so small you phased through survivors which felt horrible too. Now it is OK.
Because it's so ez to remove as there are 12 charges and now you can tee it with you while having an item too.
Also removing it would massively nerf him as he would lose information and slowdown. All that is needed is that the infection is set to 1 charge and not 50 (of 100). You never chase someone the full 120s until a full infection anyway. If you get tunneled that long, the killer has lost at least 2 Gens.
Then nobody would cleanse. Therefore no.
Yes and no. Basekit Blight is OK, he has just 3 addons which are op.
That would be the same as saying Myers is OP, just because he has TS.
He is good in chase, just not so ez to use on many times. He is one of the Killer's with high skill ceiling.
He has always been popular because he is FUN and because the last 3 killers all... lack something to put it mildly.

And walls barely matters in majority of maps.

I mean its not just walls, its literally any obstacle
Think of something like old Haddonfield fences. Sure the guy was literally 2 feet away from you but you still needed to walk all the way around to be able to get to the same side. Nurse on the other hand? Doesnt have to deal with that.

...so what would it do then? Just look cool?

Yeah, with how bad hit validation is, ain't nothing balanced. Dying ten feet from a vault or getting sucked back over it isn't balanced, its just ridiculous.
The stuff I see is unbelievable. This ain't an indie game, plz fix it.
1 -
get good not weskers fault you cant counter him <3

>He has always been popular because he is FUN and because the last 3 killers all... lack something to put it mildly.
since wesker is 100% chase-focused killer, of course people will consider him fun, because chase is the most unique and engaging activity in the game. But definitely does not mean that last 3 killers are bad tho, Knight is amazing hybrid of being both strong in chase and from strategic point, skull merchant is... honestly after all reworks she's not that bad and even fun, atlhough not chase-focused that's why people wont consider her "fun". Same for singularity. It's not for no reason why we have so little pickrate on hag, plague,etc... Those killers make you actually think and adapt, not just abuse your muscle memory. But that's just subjective.

His chase potential is fine barring unfair hits thanks to his hitbox, but yeah, they should pause the infection timer and remove the killer instinct when you cleanse. He already benefits from the slowdown with the boxes, I don't think he needs access to that information for free on top of everything else.
1 -
Personally, the only thing that needs change is his infection timer. It should come to a standstill when being chased.
1 -
The only issue with him is tunneling survivors that are infected even gets information on if the survivor sprays themselves
1 -
The tunneling ability needs to be nerfed. No need to hold killer hand and give easy tunneling. Other than that he is fine.
2 -
He's basically the boss of resident evil, he's sort of entitled to be really strong.

The slowdown is still nice to have, and keeps him well rounded.
I would go as far to also prevent Killer Instinct from revealing someone who hasn't done a CA. All too many Weskers are empowered to tunnel in going directly back to the person who sprays themself, or got sprayed by a teammate. Heck even if you try to bodyblock for them, he just gets a double injury and deep wound. I think the slam into teammate mechanic is fine, just not the KI on spray post hook and pre-CA.

Just remove hindered. If MFT is such a problem how is a unavoidable slow down fair after getting unhooked and immediately chased.

There is just something very satisfying about Wesker throwing survivors and smashing them against objects. That is such an unique interaction as well. Both is fun. Sure this is only made better by him being a chase killer.
My problem with Knight is mostly that he's just like Artist: get to a loop, set Bird/Guard, check if survivor leaves and repeat if necessary. For me this is boring. Knight has the additional problem that he will take you into a pincer and you can't do ######### about it, which also feels boring.
Skull Merchant is just boring 3-gen strat. At least when I face her. Every match takes at least 30min and if you are not well coordinated or you get bloodlodge with an auto 4-gen at shack then you can give up. It's just dumb not to do the 3-gen strat with her as it would be dumb not to slug with Twins.
The problem with singularity seems to be (from what heard people tell) the high skill floor it has compared to a killer like Wesker, who has a lower skill floor but a high skill ceiling. Singularity seems to be fun too, but it appears it is too complicated to pick him up for many players.
I think Hag is just boring because chases are too short. There is no interaction. You just teleport and boom.
Plague Was very sluggish and could be hard countered in the beginning. She's actually very fun and strong too. I just think she has still a bad prep because she started bad.

I don't think the answer is to nerf every strong perk, killer, add on etc.
But to BUFF the weaker ones. That could balance the game better.
I personally find wesker fun to go against. But that's just me. Yes he's strong but there is counterplay.
