Different Types of Gameplay Mechanics Shouldn't Only Be For Events.

We've been playing the same gameplay for 7 years now and nothing very new and exciting has come to the game and I'm not talking about new interactions with new characters releases example like Singularity's EMPs or Skull Merchant's new Drone disable puzzle.

I'm referring to new abilities that both sides can do, kinda like in the Masquerade event we just had. Killers could break walls and pallets in chase, give themself a basekit enduring for a few seconds, and expose survivors when in bloodlust using the invitations and Survivors had the ability to block window vaults and spawn in pallets.

These were really fun to mess around with during the event especially for Survivor since they all play the same but, now they had special abilities like Killer. So why doesn't bhvr give us any new gameplay mechanics that aren't event related?

The Snowman are fun to mess around with, The Masquerade event was good, even the void side objective last Halloween was ok. Switch it up a little bhvr something for the base game for both sides to interact with and I'm not counting the "Knome" hunt since that was just a small joke.
