Can we do something about slugging killers?

They use forced hesitation/infectious fright/knock out/sloppy butcher and bleed out everyone it's incredibly obnoxious. Can you devs do something about this?

you could always run no mither. maybe no mither mains are not so crazy after all. alternatively, there is getting better at the chase.

I hate when they slug end game when there is two of us left, then complain in the chat that we were hiding.

Hello? I'm not gonna give myself up for your thristy self to get 4K.

Ive the hatch perk and sole survivor a lot to prevent this. It's like get over yourself.

When I'm down to two survivors, I'll slug one and then find the other. After the other is hooked, I'll come back for the slug. That's my way of preventing hatch escapes (unless it spawns right under their nose).

When the face camp mechanic comes in this is gonna be meta and I don't even blame killers

If they find someone, they can hook them and be done, and then commence hatch search. Get it over with already. Expecting survivors who are encouraged to hide by the devs to run up to the killer for free kills is ludacris.

Or even one step further, doing an objective so they find and kill you is suicide as well, which my friend does because they do not care about winning THAT much. I end up kiting the boss so long half the time we finish the match and both escape.

I'm mostly talking about when there is two left, they quickly find someone and slug them, expecting a 4K...nuh uh uh, doesn't work that way. I'm not giving into their ego issues. Don't matter if I win or lose finding the hatch, it's the principle of the matter at that point.

The only perk on that list I have a problem with is knock out because it is hard countered by swf but hits solo queue hard. Apart from that, don't group up and rush separate gens and you shouldn't have a problem. Slugging is only viable if you make it viable.

Nothing needs to be done about killers slugging. If a bleedout happens that is entirely the result of bad team altruism. A full team slug is also the result of bad altruism. All it takes is one survivor (no perks) and the entire team is right back up. With attentive teammates; slugging actually creates more player interaction for everyone.

When I'm slugging people, I have no control on how long it takes your teammates to locate and pick you up. I'm simply using the situation to force altruism over repairs.

Even the act of guarding a slug for bleedout penalizes the killer heavily (effectively 4x the time of camping a single hook state). The team effectively gets the time span of an additional hook state. Survivors can be done with all gens in that span unless your instant downed with no chase.

And if the killer only focused on one survivor for a bleedout (which doesn't even count as a 1k for mmr) I guess they are reportable in that instance.

Convinced 2 friends to play with me tonight after they had taken a break for a few months. 2 Blights and a Nurse, all of them slugging and bleeding out. They won't be continuing, really unfortunate.

You nailed it. Behavor just keeps chipping away at Killer and eventually they won't have enough Killers being played and it'll be bots. The game is so Survivor sided. Think about it, Survivors can literally put together a team that just trolls the killer and doesn't even try for gens and walk out the gate 3 or 4 strong . That doesn't really scream that it's balanced to me when you can do that and still escape.

I mean they buffed Knock Out not long ago and added Forced Hesitation with the last DLC so they seem to like slugging as a playstyle.

Slugging perks aren't even that good unless you bring multiple ones and JUST play to slug all 4 survivors at 5 gens. Throwing Knock Out into a normal build and playing normally, it's not gonna do anything, so I can only assume BHVR is open to killers going for the 4-man slug.

All this being said killers can only get the 4-man slug if survivors group up and make multiple mistakes and bad calls. It's also pretty rare for a killer to do it and if it is happening to you often then there are perks to help counter it.

The only thing that needs to change is if all survivors are down without a way to get back up that they all get sacrificed to prevent bm.

Mayyybe something about when there are only 2 survivors left.

    Other then that it's fine

It's hard for the game to decide when 'they have no way of getting back up'. Technically there's always a chance to get back up if the killer picks a survivor up, it's always 'possible' that the survivor wiggles free, somehow gets away from the killer and picks everyone else up. It's incredibly unlikely but it's possible. Of course the killer may decide to just not pick them up to be safe and then yes, there's no way for them to get back up, but the game has no way of knowing if the killer will pick them up or not.

There's also the chance that if the killer hooks a survivor then they can kobe, or has Slippery Meat and stacked luck.

But yeah if all survivors are downed and the killer doesn't pick anyone up for a certain amount of time I'd be fine with them just auto-ending the game. Though that would then encourage killers to always leave people slugged and never risk hooking.

Maybe because Killers are aware that the survivor perks that Do counter this playstyle are never used. Even I'm wondering when everyone stopped using Unbreakable, or even No Mither seeing that this seems common enough a situation worth complaining about. The one time they tried to make Unbreakable base-kit actually made it way worse as Killers were incentived to slug for the instant 4k. So that's my views, its a fair albeit "unfun" situation as it can be countered but nobody wants to run perks to diminish this.

Can survivors stop dying in front of the hook and letting the killer slug?

It makes me cringe when I see multiple people die in the same area because you have to misplay really bad to let that happen so it's deserved.

I don't count wiggling free on purpose to avoid people just running to a unhookable corner when a hook is gone

Not counting kobeing cause imo that shouldn't be in the game anymore and i hope it's going to dissapear when the anticamp stuff comes around

I don't think it will encourage it more then it is now. When all survivors are down with no way to get up the game is pretty much over regardless if it happens instantly or after 4 minutes

MFW killers dedicate their entire build to one singular thing and it works 😱

You want a change to slugging, camping? Stop playing.

You and anyone else that complains about this type of game play doesn't really have a problem with it if you continue to keep playing.
