exhaustion perks needs to be removed from the game
I dont understand why perks like sprint burst, lithe, balanced landing and other exhaustion perks exist. they have NO downsides, it takes ZERO skill to use it and wastes the killers precious time. what im suppose to do when playing m1 killers? I sneak to a gen, I uncrouch, survivor starts holding W and makes it to safe pallet. meanwhile all I can do is watch him get away. I dont understand why nobody mentions how busted and broken exhaustion is. I know this game is super survivor sided unless im playing nurse or blight, but man I had enough of these exhaustion already. they need to be REMOVED from this game.

Has the thought crossed your mind that other people don't seem to be having issues dealing with Exhaustion perks?
Also, c'mon. You really think Smash Hit, Head-On and Background Player are so OP they need to be removed?
31 -
head on yes. not having problems with smash hit or background player because simply nobody uses them. why im being punished for chasing a survivor? it gives survivor a head start even in the deadzones! for lithe, its just when you finally won the mind game, but they got the speed from lithe and made another safe tile. now I have to start mindgaming/chasing again. they are NOT fine. this comes from 50/50 player, exhaustion perks are literally free looping mechanics.
2 -
Nah, just start survivors on hook.
21 -
There needs to be a Community Challenge where someone has to argue balance without ever saying "M1 Killer."
21 -
sorry my bad, m1 killers shouldnt even exist because of how WEAK they are
3 -
At this point just block all the gens for the whole match. That’ll be balanced.
15 -
No Panda Express gift card for you.
6 -
Alright, we're removing Exhaustion perks.
They no longer use the Exhausted Status Effect and now have separate cooldowns again, good luck.
13 -
100% agreed, except balanced bc its situational, its fine if map offerings dont exist.
Gotta love the cringe comments making non existent points and just jumping to "yeah lets just start survivors dead 🤓"
1 -
the only exhaustion perks athat are completely skilless would be lithe and maybe MFT. Lithes skill floor is in the mariana trench, but it does have skill in trying to conserve it.
Overcome requires you to get hit, making it provide less value than more versatile perks
SB is the most skilled perk in the game
BL requires very good pathing to get value from consistently
Overcome just gets you out of a deadzone, and you are sacrificing SB for that
Smash hit needs a stun and is very easy to play around
Head on requires team coordination
---
Its just MFT and Lithe that can be called skilless, the rest are fine.
Also since you mentioned crouching you play either pig or ghostie... both C-tiers. Dont complain about balance when you are playing a bad killer if you can still 2k consistently.
2 -
And why is that??? 😅
0 -
Overcome requiring you to get hit only goes to prove it's skillessness even more
SB certainly is not lmao, you can make 99 plays with it but even if you don't its still so ez to just SB off a gen like a bot and it gives huge value
BL I think is fine but I just don't understand your point with it
1 -
nobody mentions them because they are not a problem
since you mentioned uncrouch then you play pig/ghostface fearmonger would be your friend cuz it synergizes very well with stealth killers so it'll deny any sprint burst users from zooming as soon as they see you other than that it's a matter of skill and practice.

Overcome: Its not skillful but its not as good as the others. Its ease of use comes at a cost of versatility, sorry for the miscommunication
SB: Sure anyone can just SB away from a gen but then you have no exh perk in chase, you just guaranteed that you arent injured at the start. Very powerful yeah but maybe not as good as a lithe in that same players hands. The skill comes from managing exhaustion mid chase to get that crazy value, thats why its the strongest perk in the game.
BL: You need to go out of your way to find drops on most maps. A certain ones maybe not, but on the majority of outdoor maps you need to lead the chase in a specific direction just for value. Basically relying on your mental map and ability to loop to keep you alive until you get there.

nobody mentions them bc mob mentality and perks should never be the only option of counterplay lol

Replace all gens with coffins, with survs already in random ones. All the killer has to do is go around and close them. Confetti pops with each lid closing. Last lid you hear the nails driven in and the Entity/Nea chuckling in the distance.
9 -
For stealth killers Fearmonger is a very good choice to remove the issue you are facing. At the end of the day the game is balanced with exhaustion in mind so removing them from the game would just result in survivor buffs.
0 -
overcome is still very strong and really is just a flawed design and sbing away from gen is using an exhaustion perk in chase by using it at the very start of a chase
0 -
yeah but you dont have anything for tile chaining. Unless you are caught in a deadzone then theres almost no difference from just running when you see the killers on his way. its at its best when you are in a deadzone or caught by surprise. If you arent in those situations, a mediocre survivor will find lithe more valuable.
i see your point on overcome. Same gripe I have with lithe, huge value for minimal skill.

I prefer R2 killer
1 -
I agree with lithe pretty much being more valuable at least when not considering 99ing which we're not, but getting out of a deadzone is still and even if you're not you can just simply make the killer take longer to catch up which kinda screws m1s and occasionally non m1s (less often ofc)
0 -
they're not the only option of counterplay fearmonger is just generally a decent perk
do you need it to counter exaustion perks? not at all but does it give you value when you do? mostly yes which is what a perk should be.
1 -
Hmmm on sure we can do that once all exposed perks are gone then…and that includes noed
1 -
You kinda do to be completely honest lol, assuming by counter you mean invalidating their value?
0 -
It sounds like you could use some help as Killer.
What do you have issues with in particular? Maybe some of us can help
4 -
k yh lets remove all exhaustion perks for in return the removal of all gen slowdown perks, because I don't like watching my gen progress go down when I've been sat on the same gen for >120 seconds sometimes
2 -
I can get behind this concept
1 -
the solution for this is in the mid chapter patch (smash hit only 20sec exhausting), increasing the exhausting: sprint burst to 90sec exhausting, lithe, balance and DH 120sec so it is difficult to combine it with MFT as an example, you can then Also bring in other ideas of exhausting perks and balance them based on "cooldown" because there is no reason to play Lithe Smash Hit instead, it gets interesting when one gives significantly more exhausting than the other (some get nerfed or others get a buff )

fearmonger and blood echo do exist. they certainly impact the game for killer but it is not like killer perk do not help killers in some tactical way.
the difference between bad looper using MFT and an experienced looper that uses every bit of distance to waste killer time is night and day. in many ways, i think MFT is highest skill-ceiling perk to use because of how drastic difference there is between two players using it. the other exhaustion perk are nowhere near MFT in skill difference. Like can you tell difference between one lithe player and another Lithe player? They all look same to me. Dead hard has skill-cap to use it correctly but you can't tell much difference between two survivors that use DH well. they're same in some sense where they will use it in a similar way.
1 -
Lithe and Spring Burst are annoying as hell sometimes. Sprint Burst allows them to just greed the gen for free and Burst off to a god pallet or loop that you can't do anything about. Then they just go back and finish the gen when you drop chase, no downside whatsoever. They are time waste central which the killer already has very little of.
1 -
Can you imagine how rediculously easy the game would be if you could sneak to a gen, uncrouch and always get a hit no matter what.
I wouldn't mind increasing the cooldown slightly as it is a bit lenient but removing them is a tad extreme.
They have literally been in the game since day one
1 -
Without exhaustion perks the game would be much more boring. Cmon now.
1 -
So by your logic, tunnelling and slugging should be nerfed. PERKS SHOULD NEVER BE THE ONLY OPTION OF COUNTERPLAY.
Thanks bro, now we can ask for anti-tunnel and anti-slug mechanics.
4 -
When you're not happy DH is dead and you want to bury it even further ^
0 -
they are still gonna use it in chases. I also cant replace with any of my perks, I need gen slowdown
0 -
if I dont end my chases less than 30secs, a gen pops. if it takes more than minute, another gen pops. now imagine, when you are about to catch a survivor in deadzone, put they use lithe and get away to the safe tile. what im suppose to do? I can only move at 4.6m (yes I play pig) its going to be ages if I try to chase him again. if i leave, he is going to sit in gen and by the time im going to patrol gens, either gens become highly progressed or popped. us m1 killers dont have the strenght of countering exhustion perks...
0 -
it was needed?? old dead hard or pre nerf dead hard was most stupid thing ever. I stopped playing killers because everyone was using DH.
it leads you to lose-lose situation on pallets, it was absolutely broken. survs using it with mft, but its not much of problem right now.
0 -
its really fun to use as survivor ( I use mft, sprint burst, lithe in my builds) but its so unfair to m1 killers and weaker ones.
0 -
Well what's your excuse for murdering it now then? MFT? People are still gonna use it if it's as broken as people claim. DH won't stop if from getting used.
0 -
its not easy because survivors have to be blind to not see uncrouched pig. it only works in lerys, midwich, rpd...
and also even if I got the first hit, there is still 20+ pallets around, survs shouldnt have much problem.
0 -
exposed perks? you mean starstruck, devour hope and noed? noed maybe annoying sometimes but if you are having trouble with these two, you dont play survivor well.
0 -
It works on specific jungle/pallet gyms as well that have high walls and obstruct your view. You can even sneak up on someone working on shack gen.
0 -
Please 😆 this comment is everything LMAO
2 -
game is not balanced for killers if you dont play nurse or blight
0 -
%100 agree. finally someone who understands me
0 -
Even if exhaustion perks get nerfed, survivors will be buffed in a different way as long as BHVR is looking at 60% winrate being the ideal.
You'll find something else to be annoyed about, and if you're having trouble winning (Idk just making an assumption) you'll still have trouble even with exhaustion perks nerfed. Even if any survivor strategy is gutted new ones will emerge and killers who cannot adapt and still play in an old-fashioned way will still have trouble.
2 -
I must be on the minority that thinks that the game without both gen regression and exhaustion perks would be far easier to balance.
1 -
Let's remove all the perks and make the survivors move 3/meter per second
1 -
have you ever heard of unsafe pallets and windows?
0 -
m1 killers needs to be 4.8m at least, or make survivors 3.8m
