As I killer, I often feel like a mere tool...

... In the hands of survivors.

Chases are now longer, frustrating, and usually even counterproductive. In most matches survivors just genrush from the start, and in the last month it got worse. If you don't find them immediately one gen is done, sometimes even two. If you find them and start the chase, they starting usually outrunning you with sprint burst. After two or more loops, a couple of windows and/or pallets (and at least one gen done) you hit them, and then they outrun you again. Sometimes you need to repeat this two times. Sometimes even three. They can make mistakes, but if you fail to hit them even a single time, you're usually done.

Maps are build for them, but not so killer-friendly. Most of the loops don't let you mindgame, and this worsen the situation I just described. At this you need to add: flashlights, sabotage, bodyblocking and more. There are matches you can't win and that's ok, but most of them you can't play (they don't let you play, and the game let them) and it's not ok.

PLEASE: consider a way to SHORTEN the chases. It's not an issue about skills, of course that matters and I used to play pretty well in the past and enjoy the game. Now, unfortunately, I can't anymore.

  • More corners, less windows: windows offer one of the safest way to loop a killer just way too much. There are too many windows in maps and some of them offers a perfect loop you can't counter in any way. If a gen (or more gens) are around this loop or the loop is placed at the center of the map, you're screwed.
  • Slow down genrush: this is a spreading desease and it's getting worse. Survivors usually complain about tunneling, who shorten the match for them and they are absolutely right. Genrushing is the same for the killer tho (and it seems that if you play Spirit or Wesker "you deserve that").
  • Make borrowed time a passive skill for all survivors: I know this is bold, but this should help to counter tunneling, in exchange for more action and less looping.

Now, before demolish my point of view answering "use that killer, use that perk, use that add on" etc, please consider that DBD is not rock paper scissors, that the killer, as the survivors, have only four perks, and that more playstyles should be encouraged.

You're absolutely right! Alternatively, you could remove the party of 4 survivors, since random survivors don't genrush at the same rate as a party. Or you could make a bigger penalty for fixing a generator with multiple survivors. There are a lot of options. Killers tunnel and camp for a reason, killers are forced to do this by parti genrush. Now especially at high mmr this is a real problem and it must be solved.

dbd is a party game, not a comp game. bhvr would lose a vast majority of their player base if they removed the fact that you can play with your friends, there is no chance they would ever do that.
