Would it be possible if there was a shapeshifter killer?
The shapeshifter killer would ship into one of the 4 survivors in the match. For example the killer can choose which one of the 4 survivors they would want to look like in the match and also wearing the same outfit. The killer can switch to a different type of survivor when needed. The killer can sometimes pretend to pose as a generator to trick survivors.

Iirc, the issue that's been said with a killer like this would be if you were to face a SWF, basically rendering your power useless. The Survivor HUD I think would betray you too, if you were to disguise yourself as David and work on a gen while the HUD says David is healing.

Could work if we modify the power.
The Killer is some kind of a ghost/poltergeist who can possess Survivors. While Survivor is possesed, Killer sees through his eyes and can take control over the body at any moment. Once the control is taken, Survivor has visual effects on him (such as glowing eyes, steam coming from his clothes, etc.) so it is clear for nearby Survivors. After hitting somebody OR after particular time OR after pressing Active Ability Button, Killer separates from the body. Previously obsessed survivor gains Endurance status effect for X amount of time.

Another solution:
While playing against this Killer, all Survivors see each other as same person with same cosmetics and items. So if team has Dwight, maybe all of them will appear to themselves as Dwights with same cosmetics for duration of the trial. When KIller uses his power, Survivors see only 1 random survivor + shifted killer who appears as survivor.
Then, even for SWF and with HUD it may be difficult.

Killer's actions could just override the hud; part of the power would be misinformation then

I think the real problem is that people would think the Shapeshifting would be the ENTIRE Power, yet its much more likely that the power is just used as a stealth mode. This game is an action game. So the time that a Killer would have to be stealthed would have to be very small, small enough for any SWF communication to be an obstruction rather than an advantage.

Im pretty sure the devs have said multiple times they wouldn't do this.
