Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Thoughts on Breakout?

Never been the biggest fan of this perk but I've always liked the concept of the perk. It recently received a change that increased its wiggle speed boost from 20 -> 25% in exchange for reducing its range from 6 -> 5 meters.

I decided to give it a try and for 11 games, I was only able to get one survivor out and it was with a flashlight, not the perk itself. The perk requires so much coordination and perfect positioning to make it effective. I know the perk can't be busted otherwise, killers would just be having slugfest but it seems like the perk is in the same basket as "Boil Over" where if it gets buffed, it's deemed broken and abusable.

The devs should revert the range nerf back to 6m and give it a small aura reading? "See the aura of injured survivors within 20m"

I'll always support the idea of gimmick builds seeing more light, but sabo/flashlight save builds are so underwhelming with the amount of counters they have i.e LightBorn, Hooks being too close on specific maps, loss of gen times due to coordination, Agitation, Starstruck, etc.

I agree fully, but I would not add aura read on injured survivor. That's excessive and it would help more outside of sabo saves. Not counting this little thing, 100% agreed

I suppose so. Just thought a little bit of aura reading would help the user identify the location of the chase so they could position themselves.

It's really hard to adjust a perk like this w/o making it too busted since Boil Over already had a phase like that once. I guess some perks will remain in the grey area due to their nature.
