How does matchmaking work???
Hello Behavior, I wanted to know how your matchmaking works, because for some time now I've only come across incompetent survivors (hiding in lockers, crouching all game long and melting absolutely nothing). I'd say that one game out of five I come across competent survivors, I'm a survivor who still has experience and playing with such boring people is starting to annoy me more and more.

You escape = +MMR
You die = -MMR
When you are above a threshold, it doesn't matter you can match with anyone there.
It's not really good system. Ranks were flawed, but still did better job than this.
They tried to make strict matchmaking, but everyone hated it and queue times were hell.
So they made that threshold, which is kinda equivalent of red ranks.
It's basically rank system, but worse.

I know the MMR but not exactly how it worked, thank you, but given that I die almost every game because of my team my MMR can't be that good, I thought the MMR took into account the chase time, the nbrs of survivors picked up...
But yes, since they introduced this new system, it's been a disaster.

To add. The system priorities queuing times over actually SBMM. So you're likely to be put with lesser teammates to prevent you from waiting for a match for 5 minutes.

I'd rather wait and be with competent survivors than wait 2 seconds (and even now it takes a while to find a game) and be with incompetent survivors.

I do as well. Most of my matches I get incompetent survivors as teammates and I loose not because the killer is that good, but because my teammates are that bad.

Me as well. But during one of the more r cent surveys they asked the community whether they preferred faster queues over quality matchmaking, and we overwhelming chose faster queues.
And as mentioned they tested a couple of variations of stricter MMR a while back. It resulted in unpleasant matches when the sweats only got the sweats, and longer queues on top of that.
We kinda did it to ourselves, just like all the lobby shopping & dodging wreaking the matchmaking as well.

Me too. I prefer to wait to have a fair match, event if i lose. I really want a working matchmaking to avoir this kind of issues (which make me enjoy the game less and less).
