"Why do killer players only play strong killers nowadays?"

Congratulation, you proved that Killers are in good spot right now, just like I did before !!!

I also wasn't responding to you.
I realize that might be a hard concept to understand.

"The entire point of the post"
Pretty sure you were, bud.

And still you won; So why can't the survivors feel the same? We sweat to try to win and still lose, survivors can feel hopeless too
1 -
because winning is fun
1 -
After repeated adjustments from BhVR, only trained veteran killers survived.

I always liked playing Trapper, and I never felt like playing with stronger killers, I was never one to complain about perks, I had more problems with mmr that paired me with players of a much higher level than mine, but I I think you could have fun with weaker killers if the MMR worked as it should
1 -
People seriously underestimate this perk, specially when used by the likes of Ace or Ada.
1 -
This is a 1/5 result for Trapper lol

The thing is, and I've already stated this many times in this thread if you'd bothered to read it, the only reason I got the result I did is because these survivors were atrocious at the game (not just average, straight up atrocious).
This is going to be a crazy idea, but maybe MMR is working?
Let's take everything you say at face value: maybe you're at an MMR were an even game is bad survivors with items or good survivors without items.
One game doesn't prove anything, especially a screen shot, but its just stunning that you shared a game of you winning playing a killer the devs have basically said they don't mind being weak and you seem surprised people are pointing it out (though @Sharby is probably right that this is bait meant to flex).
1 -
I mean you shouldn't be 4king in this instance and the screenshot does not help you whatsoever but I can only imagine altruism killed and everyone here isn't thinking. So everyone has a valid reason to question you but they really should be questioning the survivors who lost.

P100s with BNPs and stuff losing to Trapper. Hall of shame!
3 -
This might be the case where you have those types of survivors with such builds and for people playing the stronger killers, however, what I've noticed is that people forget how to counter the other killers. If someone is playing Demo then people all of a sudden don't know what to do lol.
Also, I see that you won regardless. So I guess you're in the right MMR/versing the right type of survivors. Except for the BM-ing James.

You won that with trapper? Was it hard? I think it was. Now, whats your point?
Keep playing trapper if you like to mald over it
5 -
Not saying it bad or anything... just weird.
I don't really see it anymore

I uhhh... I only play killer and I don't play any of those killers and still manage 2-4ks a game when I try and seriously play. Normally I just farm chase and breaking points and track hooks so I don't sacrifice anyone. I'm more after points then kills truthfully.
1 -
Frosty Eyes. Oof. Always the sign of a terrible killer.
1 -
Hilarious to me how everyone is so fixated on the fact the game finished on a 3k, they are completely ignoring the actual point being made.
The point isn't about who won or lost, the point was at this players level (at 6k hours you'd expect a fair bit of skill at the game), this is the kind of loadouts he goes up against regularly... if you showed that set of loadouts to any killer before the match started, they'd ######### a brick.
Everyone here I'm sure is smart enough to see that a Trapper, on this map, against these loadouts should have lost... easily. The ONLY way to have even sniffed at a game with more than maybe 3 hooks is if the Survivors made a whole bunch of catastrophic mistakes. We have to take his word they played bad... but I'd definitely expect survivors to win here...
The point of the post is to highlight these kinda builds are common at high levels, so why on earth would you not run significantly stronger killers vs. This sort of thing?
I'm a noob, the fact I can understand it better than most is kinda poor.
1 -
Oh I agree.
Because like it or not, that's what this game has turned into. It can no longer be enjoyed and played casually. It's either dedicate a ton of hours and energy to it when you play, or just lose over and over.
It needs to be fixed to cater to casuals because they make up most gamers nowadays. If not, you'll start to see people stop playing over time. Who wants to play hardcore and dedicate all this energy to a video game? Not me. It's just a game, and losing over and over again gets old unless I Hyperfocus on the game, etc. It's dumb.

Lol wut? I don't think this post proves what OP wants it to prove.

So here's what I'm getting from this
They were bringing items indicating that they were there to win and were probably trying their hardest. Upon seeing this you decided to adapt and take a different approach to the match despite being heavily out matched in terms of add ons and the killer you're using. So it was tryhard v tryhard and you just so happen to win because from what I'm getting at you were the better player, and games where both are giving it their all should always have the better player come out on top which is exactly what happened.
So what exactly is the issue here? Yes if they were better they would of probably put up more of a fight, but as you yourself said you could of been playing a higher tier killer which for all they knew, thats what they were going up against. Hell you could of also brought better add ons which actually makes Trapper quite a threat (Even the add ons you have there make Trapper SIGNIFICANTLY better than his basekit.
Unless I'm missing something, can't see how I can be wrong here.
6 -
I thought the issue was quite clear from the title. Why would someone who plays survivor expect me, a killer main, to play weak killers, if odds are I'll be playing against setups like this quite often, and often times against survivors who aren't trash, and will be getting destroyed left and right?
0 -
I mean you're acting as if this is a killer specific issue. You could say the exact same thing for the survivor side: Why would some one who plays killer expect me to use gimmicky perks, items and add ons in Solo Q when all I go up against are strong killers with busted add ons who aren't trash, and will be getting destroyed left and right?
To say you also go against set ups like these constantly and people who aren't trash in today's matchmaking is just a blatant lie. Those who truly believe they go against top caliber Survivors all the time, aren't as good as they think they are.
And before you pull the "Survivor main spotted" trick.. yeah no, I main killer
7 -
Because survivors are strictly stronger than killers basekit. 95% of the killer roster NEEDS perks to function. Survivors without perks are very strong.
2 -
They are stronger base kit yes, to say they're "very strong" how ever? No. In fact several killers become much more viable when you take perks out of the equation like stealth killers. How ever there's basically no reason to have a debate on this since not only is the game balanced with perks in mind, but the last time I've played a game where both sides both didn't have perks or add ons was... well never. (5.9k hours btw)
0 -
They are indeed very strong. Maps are designed around the lowest common denominator, and as such are typically VERY safe. Most maps have enough pallets to predrop every single one and still have enough left over after gens are completed.
2 -
This is assuming the killer mindlessly follows one Survivor until they get downed, and in that case I don't know what you were expecting when you give 1 Survivor all the resources available when they're meant to be split up by all 4. Its also why chasing the first Survivor until you down them is probably one of the worst things you can do against a smart team
1 -
All this shows is victories should adjust a hidden MMR rating of Killer picks, perk picks, items and add-ons brought into matches. That way if people win more with Syringes and Nurses or BNPs and Blights, they get a hidden boost to their MMR equal to how powerful those things are. When they don't bring those things, their MMR isn't artificially boosted due to bringing stacked equipment. I'm not sure if this should be personal, or across the playerbase, but either way it would help keep sweats to only go against fellow sweats.

We got it, the game is so hard for killers that you can't even find a screenshot where you lose. thanks for making the thread

A 4-man on constant comms will always know where to expect you and have a general idea of where you are.
1 -
ok?? hows that stopping you from being smart?
Also most 4 man's aren't comp teams, no matter how much you want them to be
