bots are even worse than old DC's
like genuinely all they do is feed, throw, mess up skill checks, and run around randomly. yes i get that their bots, so throwing isn't technically one of the things they do, but it sure feels like it. bots just sabotage the survivor side, like i could be doing a gen and they would just keep messing up the skill checks and the moment they are within the brink edge of the killers terror radius, they run off and do jack.
they do more harm than good to the team, and i have NO clue whos idea it was to make them have a high chance of messing up skill checks. maybe its for realism? i dont know, but i sure as hell know that barely anybody messes them up now unless their a fresh new rank 20 with 15 hours in the game. why did we have to get these crappy no good bots that serve no purpose while custom game matches have ACTUAL great bots that do their stuff properly. and make it so that they dont just straight up run away the moment the killer is 31 meters away from them, thats the most annoying thing about them. they stop whatever their doing no matter what when the slightest tiniest heartbeat shows up.
please do something about bots in normal matches because this is genuinely ridiculous, and i already played with/against the touched up bots in the alien PTB and I saw absolutely no difference and if anything it got worse because now they just stop what their doing and either walk or stand there. the bots aren't even this "savior" or "hope" for a match because all they do is jsut sabotage you from winning.
make them actually beneficial by making it so they always hit good skill checks, with a chance of great skill checks too. make them respond better in a terror radius and make the game have the bot detect whether the killer is chasing a survivor and the bot so happens to be in the radius so they dont just run off, get out of the terror radius, run back, and run out again because they heard the terror radius again. just PLEASE do something

They also don’t 99ed the door. They will open it and leave regardless of the situation at hand.

yes its literally a lose-win situation with bots, survivors get cucked and killers get extra bloodpoints
5 -
best thing is to watch them run in circles between the hook and a generator and doing nothing

Lol. Maybe if the Hatch still appeared early when survivors progressively died.
It's true that some killer powers can break a bot's behavior more than others, but they are objectively better than having *literally nothing* when a teammate disconnects.

in some ways, its really not. why on earth would i want something that purposely blows up my gen or a healing skill check effectively giving away my position, when i could be progressing the match faster without the bot blowing everything up?
all the bots are good for are just giving killers some sort of distraction and bloodpoints, they weren't a good addition to the game.
1 -
Which is exactly their purpose?
A distraction and fourth target for the killer to take pressure off of the remaining 3 players, not free unfailing progress.
2 -
no their purpose is to help benefit the team just as a normal survivor player would normally do, which is doing gens, healing, unhooking, etc.
all the bots do is either purposely mess up skillchecks and ruin progress, run around all game, run the moment they get the tiny little heart beat, and sometimes won't even do anything useful. if their sole purpose is to just be bad and be free bloodpoints for the killer, then MAN were they a massive failure. and if that purpose is true, then i have absolutely no faith for solo Q in this game anymore.

There were ppl actually making it sound like bots are OP or sth.
They’re pretty silly to watch, tho. Taking the weirdest routes. Just like in the Practice bot matches, the in-game bots run to the outer edge of the realm and vault the windows on those cheesy, useless deadzone walls.
Never utilizing their perks.
They often repetitively work on a Gen for a short bit, walk/ run away a few steps, then back to the Gen; have also seen them do the same w totems and while healing other survivors, especially when Sloppy’s active. They seemingly don’t often play to the Killer’s perks; Getting blown off Gens by Rez hooks, not ever evading BBQ via lockers (not that it should be a thing, just thought maybz they’d be programmed to respond tactically in avoidance of such threats).
Bots also seem to not comprehend counterability of certain Killer’s powers, especially Skull Merchant. Managing a 3gen is not a bot priority, and they had zero understanding of the drones, from what I’ve witnessed; just running away as soon as they’re detected. Also, constantly abandoning objectives and fleeing immediately when the terror radius is anywhere nearby.
The bots I’ve experienced are extremely below mid.
…Like, waaay noob. Comical experience playing w them.

Fun fact: Bots againts Doctor might as well not exist. If they reach madness 3, they will miss the skillcheck everytime and will be stuck in Snap out of It for 2-3+ minutes sitting there like a duck and screaming every few seconds.

My favourite bot moment was when I was on a hook in Midwitch with kindred. The bot started rescuing me, but the killers aura was revealed on the floor above me so the terror radius heart beat had started again and it stopped midway through the hook animation and ran away and left me to die!

Also, does anybody have a hard time healing a bot? They won’t be broken and they are just stood there or even crouching next to me and you go to heal and it won’t let you for some reason?
I will have to say though that I like when somebody DCs against a Pinhead. The bots seem to be obsessed with his box, and they go and get it more than my fellow solo queue survivors.

Whenever someone DCs, I'm tunneling the bot out of the game ASAP. I get a free kill and BPs and the others get to leave.
I call it a win-win.

Honestly when you can't get a gen done because the bot keeps missing skillchecks and bringing the killer to you, to a point where the entire team avoids the bot and leaves their gen if the bot comes to it, I'd say it would have been much better for the team to only have 3ppl.

Yeah, the Bots are only a tool to feed the Killer some more BPs and let some Hook-Perks still be used. As predicted. It was crystal clear from the start that the Bots will not really help the Survivors, you just need to look at the Bots in Custom Games and you know that there will not be much help from them.
I would honestly rather play a 3v1. Your team is not stronger with the Bots anyway, probably even weaker and the Killer at least does not get some PGTW or Pain Res-uses from the Bot.
My prime example of a Bot was one Bot who REALLY, REALLY wanted to heal me. I unhooked it, I was injured, 1 Gen to go. The Bot healed themselves with their Medkit. And then it wanted to heal me. And it was an endless cycle - Bot goes next to me, stands there, teabags once, stand there, goes to the gen, works on it for like 1 second, lets go of it, stands there, teabags me, etc... I had Resilience and Adrenaline so no point in healing for the last Gen. And this Bot keeps doing the same stuff and because it let go of the Gen so often it got Skill Checks which were auto-failed, making it even harder to complete the damn thing.

I got one that run to my hook and back until I hit second stage and other 2 teammates were downed by nurse.
People who say these are better than players that DC are on unhealthy amounts of copium

Anybody see Otzdarva's game where the last survivor was a bot who finished the last gen and then ran directly for the hatch?
That MF was not messing around!!!

Strange how we keep hearing bots messing up skill checks yet haven't seen one yet not caused by the killer...
Maybe we're on copium, but yes, the bots are ALOT better than a regular dc. Actually, we don't think we are on copium.

This is what I've been saying for a while now. Keep the DC penalties, but remove the bots.

Please remove the bots 🙏
