Self-care and botany knowledge should be reverted

Perk combos should be beneficial not necessary. For example, made for this and iron will. Both of these perks have good effects by themselves and have good synergy with each other, therefore it’s beneficial. However, self-care by itself is a huge time waster and detrimental therefore it is necessary to run botany with it to make it viable. But they can’t just revert self care other wise 50% from self care and 50% from botany would be 100% making it better than med-kits. Botany was a fine, unproblematic perk before the change and self care was popular but also fine. If the devs want to, they can leave out the old med-kit bonus self care had and just revert the speed itself.

self care was popular but also fine

I have to disagree with this statement.

Self healing is extremely powerful, that is why everything that offered the ability to do it was always extremely prominent in the meta; Self Care, CoH, High Tier Medkits, etc.

Being forced to heal each other regularly is major source of pressure for the Killer because now you have 2 survivors occupied at once, and the ability to subvert that is not insignificant at all.

Having to commit 2 perks to get value out of Self Care is a reflection of just how strong being able to do it really is.

I'd say all 6.1 perk nerfs should be somewhat reverted. Self-Care should probably get like 45% instead of 35 or 50. DS should still be disabled in endgame, but put back to 5s. Botany honestly is fine as is right now. Ruin should go back to 200%, but still disappear on a kill. Calm Spirit should have the 30% slowdown removed. Pop is a little low at 20% current, maybe it should be bumped up to 25 or 30%... oh wait, it is 30% current as of 7.0, so maybe these other perks have some hope to be viable again.

As far as Self-Care specifically, I think 45% is the sweet spot, because it would take ~36s base, or ~24s with Botany. The old 50% Self-Care 33% Botany numbers were ~32s, ~24s with Botany, so if you dedicate the same 2 perks you get the same old effectiveness. That is compared to the current Self 35% Botany 50% at ~46s, ~30s with Botany. This would help to have more viable perks, and make it so if Survivor wants to bring the 'Killer slayer 9000' meta build of Mft/Resilience/Hope/DH, they would have to sacrifice 2 of their massive Exodia pieces.

I did not say that 😉

Edit: To actually be useful with this post... its an effect that is massively game altering, if you buff Self Care, you have to account it for every other healing effect you ever add.

Having it so limited at base and requiring hefty investment for value makes it quite unlikely to be a problem perk again.

It takes 40 seconds to heal yourself which is half of a gen. Self care is an ok perk if used correctly at best. A lot of killers run sloppy though making this perk, well yeh... Dont take the devs making self care as low of a number as it is meaning it is "powerful" since these are the same devs that claim dream pallets are better than snares.
