WHY DID THEY REMOVE FAST VAULTS!?
I cant even believe this. Nobody disliked fast vaults? Are they trying to slowly remove vaults altogether? The old update was great, but reverting it wasnt even that big of a deal but to REMOVE FAST VAULTS!? This is wild!

What do you mean no one disliked them?? There were plenty of complaints, the thing that sucks is instead of finding a good middle ground the completely reverted fast vaults to a point that theres no reason to hit a fast vault over a medium vault, honestly though if they reverted if and made fast vaults harder to hit that would be fine, giving you more to learn with a fairly strong effect

Ima be honest, anyone who complaing about fast vaults is anoyying and needs to play both sides. I play both sides fiarly evenly, and I can say never ONCE did I think fast vaults where bad. They are hard to hit! And its completely fair if you w key for a long time to jump and keep your speed. This new update is uncanny!

Is this another bug or an intended feature?

The normal fast vaults are fine, when they "bugfixed" them they become OP af in a game that's already leaning Survivor sided.

How are they OP??? Its your RUNNING then you can GO FAST over a vault it makes sense!? It takes skill to do them unless you just w key, and if your any good you can still get the hit???

I am pretty sure I would like to revert fast back to the original. If only they nerf MFT, as the recent Buff made it big problem and high compliant rate. It make experience Survivors good at loops and chase much harder to catch, especially with MFT active.
No one really compliant about fast vaults, until the 3% movement speed perk became a thing. But instead, they nerf fast vaults all together and left MfT untouched.

Whilst I agree fast vaults should be, as the name describes, faster than a medium vault, the person you're replying to specified that in their bugfixed state the fast vaults were OP, which they were.
There's been two bugfixes to fast vaults that were both poor for the game. The first- before this newest chapter release, made fast vaults grant ridiculous speed and distance (and caused male survivors to vault further, for some reason.) The second- that came more recently, went too far the other direction, making fast vaults identical to medium, without fixing said "male survivors vault further" issue. The second is the one you made this thread about, the first is the one Orthane is describing as OP (rightfully).
What everyone wants is a middle ground, it would appear. Fast vaults as they were before either of these bugfixes were implemented.

female survivors were working properly tho , thats the problem people were overreacting about non-existent i frames during the vaults , it was just a visual bug because males were vauting insanely further than females.
and instead of fixing the couple of bugs on females like when vaulting from a high place you were getting send to the ground more faster than usual , they just made it terrible for males and females.
old DBD footage: (default vault speed , no ressilience , no spine chill)
I-frames were a thing aparently to some people , not just a well timed fast vault because bad players were crying about their pixel hits not connecting anymore , well there you go , this is how hitboxes work at lower latencys soo people can shut up about it.
WITH CURRENT FAST VAULT THIS CASES WILL NEVER HAPPEN CLAPS BAD PLAYERS / LAGGY PLAYERS.

I just don't know what the thought process even was with this. Why remove a baseline mechanic from the game entirely? It's like if they made the killer's red stain impossible to cover up/fake. There's no reason to punish either of the sides by removing a core mechanic. I just do not understand what the goal here was.

Nobody? Brother that crap was unfathomably broken, it made killer miserable.

Literally everybody but the ppl abusing them disliked fast vaults dude, they were completly breaking loops when paired with Made for This..... say you only play one side without saying you only play one side....

go play a M1 only killer and come back and say fast vaults are still fine, till then kindly shut up.

What I can't believe is that there is people that still doesn't know that the "new fast vaults" were bugged to the point of softlocking the tutorial and making survivors immune to damage the moment they started the vaulting animation. That's why they reverted the change they did to try fix another bug and are already working on fixing them for good.
Still with that? Not clear enough that is not how vaults are supposed to work and that old gif only shows you not getting hit because of your lag when the game was P2P?
