Since flashlights are kill switched atm
Can we get an alternative to Nemesis and his zombies already? You guys have said before that you didn’t want to hinder a killer or make a power base work with flashlights or other items such as burning wraith with flashlight or getting rid of the hag traps. But you left nemesis out of the equation with his zombies. Could we get a way to distract the zombies without using resources??

Zombies can be killed with Pallets and survivors still have access to Flashbangs.

Like I said without wasting resources. You don’t waste anything to get rid of a hag trap you have an animation. Flashlight was a slow drain to zombies but a flashbang is the entirety of it

You could run Any Means Nessecary to reset the pallet afterwards.

I agree. Counterplay shouldn’t be reliant on perks and items. Pallets are an option in this case but they’re often too limited for that counterplay to be worth it. I was surprised nothing was done with zombies when all the other special flashlight interactions were removed.

I could yeah but that’s not the point; the point of the change from the others was to make it where you didn’t have to bring something to potentially counter it. Zombies were left out, so what we’re suppose to just eliminate resources just to keep zombies at bay?

You could always just lure the zombie away from someone else. They go after the closest target.

I’ve always thought about the zombies ever since they changed the flashlights interactions and said they didn’t want them to interact with killer’s powers. I hope they eventually rework vaccines into some kind of gun or item to defeat the zombies, or maybe smack them at the cost of a health state/mending. It’s quite ridiculous to think about all the times they actually carry the game (or some situations) and it’s an AI Nemesis has to do nothing to get. They literally can stand in front of hooks, not leave the gates and stay at gens if triggered in yellow by perks, and so on.
I really wish they never introduced AI in this game because it’s just terrible. Hoping for a Nemesis rework soon to make him more interesting to play as and against!

Maybe it can be that you have to walk up close to it and get it to miss an attack on you then you can attack it from behind and it falls on the ground for a little bit and doesn’t move (kinda like what already happens when they fall from a great height, but for longer). Now they have more counterplay but it still wastes survivors’ time.

You can distract them, by literally getting their attention and leading them away. Costs you no resources, but time, like all other interactions do e.g. removing hags traps, undoing Trapper's traps etc.

You could just... I don't know... be a center of attention and make them follow you, while your teammates are fixing the generator. That one or all zombies covering the whole map and makes the killer pay attention to your location.
It is a strategy that works super well if you are the type of survivors that likes to get chased; instead of hammering objectives. Another strategy is to bring Any Means Necessary and just kill zombies with pallets and reset them; or a flashbang and drop it as they are walking towards you. Zombie don't bother looking away and miss your flashbang stun.
Best luck case scenario, they get stuck in a tree and huge rock or any prop; and become completely useless be unable to move away.

That’s not the same thing tho the zombies will actively be more bothersome than a trap, a trap won’t continuously come to you, if you’re by yourself? Then how do you expect to get anything done if there’s nothing there to utilize?

This would be the moment to announce addons for firecrackers, so that you could carry more than one at once for example.
If I remember correctly there is actually an unused addon which gives crackers additional uses.

That sounds neat actually but that would still be dependent on bringing it into a trial you don’t know you need yet. Idk I think it’s weird they took flashlight from killer powers but still kept nemesis’s flashlight to zombies when their initial statement was they didn’t want to have perks or items to be a counter to killers power etc so it makes no sense to not make a change to the zombies

But now that FLs are disabled, I use crackers but you only get one. And that is why I remembered this addon.

Dunno seems weird they left the zombies use with flashlights when they stated that they wanted to veer from that, gave an alt to Hag’s traps but not to the zombies
