Ultimate Weapon is such a disgrace to promote sale
As a survivor, I took "Windows of Opportunity", "Any Means Necessary", "Empathy" and a med kit.
The killer took "Ultimate Weapon" (sometime even with "distressing") and counters 3 of my perks.
I got blind for substantial period, got no where to hide. The funniest part is when the killer took "'Sloppy Butcher", my med kit is gone when I scream ( of coz followed by the killer reaching my position and end me).
All the killer has to do is just moving around (don't even have to check the locker to activate). And I could only run around like a rat.
I wonder what game balancing mean to the developer. Is sale of just 1 killer weight so much for your team?

It's not a strong perk. Blindness is a weak status effect. Info is not strong as well. It's only really good on the very strong killers.

This perk is disgusting
No counter for the entire perk except for Calm Spirit and perhaps Vigil
But calm Spirit just hinders you by doing totems and chests 30% slower
Soon you won't scream from inside a locker, but that doesn't help at all when the killer can just spam the perk every 60 seconds
Also promotes slugging for the 4k
And you know whats funny? Apparently the perk works even if the killer gets undetectable at the same time they open the locker (the Huntress add-on)
Terrible perk, but hey, its not a survivor perk so no nerfs at sight

I would probably reduce the duration to 20 seconds and increase the cooldown for 40 seconds and leave it there. It would still be great perk. Also that Blidness effect there is just random, don't know why it even has it in the first place, but that is not the strong part of this perk and why everyone runs it on top tier mobile killers.

Literally first good perk in 4 chapters and second good perk in 8 chapters on killer side. Since Pain Res there was only Nowhere to Hide. Also CoB, but it is empty perk slot now.
Variability of perks in the last chapters was so sad that survivors complain about the info perk, lol. Guess it's time to release some slowdown or good chase perk.

It's more annoying than anything, i also still don't understand the reason everyone runs windows. To address the dlc thing, i think this is one of the better dlcs released for killers in a while, the perks are decent, killer is decent, only survivor perks suffered this time but even then idk because the cryobomb on pallets also brought changes to make stun mine and wire tap easier to use while it still being alright.

Not sure how Any Means Necessary is countered by UW. You can still pick up the pallet. Just not while the killer is near you.
UW might be the first genuinely good blindness perk because it does the one thing that makes blindness actually useful at just the right moment. It counters WoO when the killer approaches. If you are that reliant on WoO, then that means you use it as a crutch. You still know where to run because you saw everything before the blindness kicked in. Isn't that enough? Seems like people don't run WoO because they need to know what resources were used by their team mates after all.
The only problematic part about this perk is the synergy with DMS. Other than that, it's a fine info perk.

I don't see the issue with this perk.
The survivor screams once. You can go find them, they can run away.
Thats the point of the game. No one liked Skull merchant because she did not need to chase.
No one likes the last two survivors in the corner of the map sitting. waiting.
The perk has more uses than that, but at least on the Xeno it doesn't feel massively OP and in need of nerf because its destroying survivor game play.

The main problem is the synergy with DMS. blocking all gens for 30 seconds after every hook is not balanced.
There's also the fact that it's basically a stronger version of doctor's power that any killer can take, with a half as long cooldown.
Imo it should trigger immediately based on the killers current location and terror radius. Currently it's hands down better than every other information perk while also giving insane slowdown with DMS.

Thats wasted time, where as using No where to hide has you kick a gen which is not so much wasted time. BBQ shows you across the map. And that other new alien info perk is ass, because you can't have two good perks on one killer.
Ultimate is nice cause it keeps survivors moving, usually across ground they don't want to move over. I don't use it with DMS, but thats two perks to setup some slow down, I'm still not seeing an issue(3 if you bring distressing).

Right now locker density isn't equal across all maps. While the perk is strong, it's still going to be tough on maps like swamp where there are huge areas without a single locker spawn.

Sorry to hear you not having a good time vs UW. All these new meta perks have muplite crazy effects. I'm just having fun with seeing the meta change on both sides. Yeah the power creep is kinda strong but that what u gotta do to change the perk meta.
or u can just nerf everything again which is kinda boring...

releasing perks only stronger killers really benefit, or perks that are only good against weaker killers can be the unhealthiest decision making "developing" this game. that's straight up downgrade.

That’s the risk you have to take now if you want to run multiple aura perks. Same thing with killers having to risk playing against Distortion and having their aura perks removed.
It feels like aura perks are slowly getting weaker and weaker. And most aren’t even that good compared to most meta perks anyway so I don’t see why they need so many hard counters now.
I personally don’t think Ultimate Weapon or Distortion are very strong perks, but I don’t think they aren’t healthy for the game either so I wouldn’t complain about nerfs if it means aura perks aren’t made near useless by a single perk.

I don't think it's OP, but I'm so confused as to who at BHVR saw the most annoying aspect of this game (the screaming - especially since most people play with headphones) and was like 'oh hey, we should have MORE of this'.

Its already be seen since No where to hide. 5sec does not matter for basic speed killers. But its map wide for Blight & Wesker.
The aura perks have to be reworked as a whole that basic speed killers can benefit more, while high speed killers get less.

I never said it was, but it’s a still a very common perk (I see at least one every second or third game) and still makes killer aura perks useless.
I was using Distortion as an example of how hard countering an entire category of perks with a single perk that takes next to no effort to use is unhealthy. This goes for both Distortion and Ultimate Weapon. Bonus points for Ultimate Weapon only really working on the already strong killers.
Ultimate Weapon and Distortion both have the same problem, which is that by simply existing they make aura perks less enticing to use.

Funny i remember Mandy pointing at Nurse when the whole this game is p2w argument came up.
Except now Nurse's blink attacks are special attacks and almost all free perks don't work for her.

I agree. But i disagree with people claiming that this is the best perk in the game, when its not good on lower level killers.

Mind you, Calm Spirit doesn't even counter it. Survivor doesn't scream but you still see their location and the PTB didn't include a fix for this. So there isn't a realistic counter at the moment, you'll always get value from UW as killer.

I have tried it on a variety of m1 based killers. Myers, Trapper, Freddy and especially Pig. The most value i got on Myers in tier 3 because and i quote the survivor: "i didnt find pallets without windows". On Trapper and Freddy it was completely useless. I tried to interupt Boxes with Pig but then i realized that when im in terror radius and i know that they are on the box, i can just interupt them myself. No perk needed.
Ultimate weapon is very strong on Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Oni, Plague and against players that rely too heavily on windows of opportunity.
From what ive tested, thats it.

I am loosing my marbles at the sheer bias on display here. There are a bunch of perks that have no counter. If that is what makes a perk overpowered, then I guess it's time to nerf Self-Care again?! I thought we agreed that it was pretty weak.
A perk that can be used every 60 seconds? I guess Sprint Burst isn't a thing. Or any other exhaustion perk for that matter. Didn't realise they removed them. Or WoO, that stays active the whole game. Or MFT again, which stays active for as long as you aren't exhausted.
UW DOES NOT PROMOTE SLUGGING FOR THE 4K. Absolutely not! If anything, shouldn't you be happy, if a killer does it with UW? They would do it anyway but with UW you're not going to be left on the floor for 3 minutes at least.
Also, why would anyone use the undetectable addon combined with Ultimate Weapon? That defies the whole purpose of being undectable. If you scream and get blindness, then you already know, that the killer has this perk. And if they don't have a TR, then you also know that they are coming for you with the undetectable status.
That last part is hilarious. UW is only a few weeks old and yet here we are with people who complain that it hasn't been nerfed. Funny how MFT on the other hand hasn't been nerfed after 3 months. But hey, MFT is not a killer perk, so no nerfs in sight. ;-)

In all honesty, how would you release or make a perk that is strong on weaker killers but not strong on the meta killers?
We can't have all good killer perks be neutered just because nurse and Blight exists.
That's just not fun or fair for us who likes off meta killers like Nemesis or Trickster (Yes I like playing as Trickster unironically.)

I really fail to see the issue with Ultimate Weapon to be perfectly honest
The scream only happens once per activation, does not work at super close range due to the way scream bubbles work, can be hard countered by Calm Spirit (which in and of itself is a semi-solid perk on Stealth builds anyway), has a 30 second cooldown, and doesn't guarantee you will be able to get into a chase with the information, plus it requires you to open a locker to activate, which aren't always readily available and waste a good few seconds of time
Meanwhile Lethal Pursuer just exists, it basically guarantees you can get into a chase at the very start of the match unless you get unlucky and synergises with every single aura reading perk in the game, which is much more valuable then scream bubbles due to being semi-useable in chase
Lethal is far stronger then UW in every way other then farming screams for challenges or when playing Trickster and Huntress, and yet Lethal is considered perfectly fine while UW isn't
Killers finally got a semi-useful perk that's good in more then 1 specific scenario and ya'll lose your goddamn minds

So, denying a killer aura build with Distortion is completely fine, but having yours denied as survivor is a problem? Windows of Opportunity was listed for a nerf in the PTB notes, but suddenly removed without an explanation. And you know what? Ultimate Weapon was nerfed days after in a bugfix patch...

You're incorrect. WoO was a textual bug (as explained on both forums and twitter) so there was no "pulled back nerf" nor was it ever "listed for a nerf". You just made that up. And UW was a bug fix not a nerf. All aura/scream perks are countered by lockers since the dawn of time and UW wasn't ever or should've been an exception.

My bad! I haven't seen this at all since I only have access to English versions. This really is mysterious haha. Maybe they accidentally leaked a future change because the text is very well written when I translated the image. I guess we'll see.
