Please give Killers a gesture

There are so many times in-game I'd like to communicate something to survivors, yes and no works sometimes, but can also be interpreted as taunting, and there is a need for a third option.

Sometimes I want to show someone the hatch, or let them know I'll help them find it. Once I get 3k, I get all generous. Let me point or something, with either appendage.

"Grab your glyph", "Go ahead and unslug him, that's why I left him", "look at that fool over there!", "It's cool, go ahead and do that thing you were trying to do"...

"GO UNHOOK YOUR TEAMMATE" is one I often want to communicate, but can't. If only I could point.

There are some things that just can't be expressed with violence, give killers a gesture.

We use slashing the air for these situations.

When they don't comply, I rather account it to mistrust than misunderstanding.

I'm sure you're right about the mistrust, but it's open to misinterpretation. I've been letting a group of newbies open the exit, swung to get their attention and had them all panic and make a hopeless run to the other.

Also, you know I'm right about the fun. You'd be gesturing just as much as I would.

That's just it, you're helping make my point.

It wasn't a gesture of kindness, it was "yes, come out so I can kill you". Sometimes that's what a nod means, that's why we need to point. At least then you'd know if you were betrayed or tricked. Now that quality drama is lost forever.

Also, woah, that was a bad call. A killer being nice at the exit is carrying the survivor to the gate/hatch, that's the only thing that proves a killer friendly at the exit, a drop at the exit. Do not ever trust a killer at the exit unless he's proven friendly and you're sure there's no Blood Warden.

Someday a friendly killer will help you trust again. Having a gesture would help.

Yeah, I see killers do that as well. Sometimes they are seriously nice, sometimes they just fool you. It's just gambling. I had a killer who let me wiggle free at exit gate (last surv, got downed close to exit). I started to open, he nods. Seconds later, he downed me again, let me wiggle free.. he did that three times. And hooked me in the end 🙄 I can just imagine they sitting in front of their Screen laughing. 🤪

Whenever I do something like that as a killer (nodding, let wiggle free on exit, drop next to hatch and so on..) i stick to it. I am never the one who changes his mind after that, because I would feel like the biggest **** around acting nice and then smash them right in their face when they feel safe. But yeah, I understand some killers might consider it funny, oh well just let them do.. but never trust 100% ;P

But @topic, I wouldn't care if there were gestures for killers, would be okay with that. I just think it would take away some of the chills/creepy feeling. "The unknown evil.. what might this killer be up to.. oh nooo!😨". Not as if the creepy feeling is still there after hours of gametime but.. maybe you know what I mean.

I don't understand people like that either, I'd assume they're grumbling about teaching you a lesson for something another player did, or something equally sad and pathetic. The important thing is nobody cares what people like that think, you shouldn't.

Think of trolls on either side as something that adds variety. It's not common, but it does keep us all on our toes. That's not how most killers are. Some survivors wait at the gate to tb, many wait to give you one last hit. Most of us are cool.

Betrayal can be funny if done immediately, but not if you're drawing it out like that, that's just mean and not a sign of a happy person.

I don't personally betray anyone, even as a joke, I don't think people being disappointed is funny. To me, funny is playing super-hard then being nice at the end. Or just doing something goofy. If I let you think you're escaping, it's gonna happen. I'm too proud for trickery, even if I wasn't too nice.

I still think that we're going to have to both completely agree with me about the gesture, though. I can and definitely would point at survivors in scary ways. I'd be threatening and calling my shots, "You, gonna hook you there." See how scary that is?

Glad you brought it up, now the devs can see how much scary drama is also being lost due to lack of gesture.
