PC Error - 8027. Can't start game {FIXED}
I'm having this issue where the game doesnt start up. it just gives me the 8027 error. same one others got from the PTB for the latest patch. I've never run into it before. Kinda worried. Any advice?
And just to follow the rulebook here.
Step 1; launch game
Step 2; hit enter.
Step 3; error 8027

I also am having this same issue. Verified files, rebooted steam and PC. Launched other programs that use Easy Anti-cheat and did not experience issues in getting into the game.

Some accounts may have been caught with this error. When I log in with another account of mine, I do not get this error even if I run it on the same computer.

i will say if I use my friends account or my other steam account the game loads just fine, so it's definitely specific to certain accounts.

Got the same issue. Thought that maybe DBD had an outage of some kind after the update.

Same issue. Can confirm that it works on different accounts in the same computer, so it seems like it's account specific. Also saw some EGS users reporting the issue on their platform aswell.

I will say that as someone who does not have alts, I can't play the game at all. Since it is account specific, what would be the best course of action?

I have this issue only on my Steam version of the game.
My Epic Games version loads just fine.
I should be able to provide my Steam account cloud ID if that helps.
One random theory I have is that this is related to the frosty eyes and some other cosmetics disappearing from peoples account because I think I last logged out of the game with the hillbilly selecting using the oranges eyes cosmetic.

No idea, I do not have any alts but 2 of my friends do and they reported that. Right now we just can't play the game and they probably closed office by now lol.

I'm having the exact same issue.
Steps I've tried:
Took all custom .ini settings out.
Verify Game Files
Reinstalled DBD
Cleared Steam D/L cache (that's helped with other stuff in the past)
Turned off my VPN.
Still no matter what, I'm greeted with the same screen.
Multiple people have told me that they have the issue, but can access it on another account. It's unfortunate, because I was very excited to stream the update today / go over recent changes, etc, but I haven't been able to login since the update went live. Should have been online 3 hours ago :(
I can message my steam cloud ID as well if it will be helpful. I believe it's the "player ID" from tickets, right? If so, I can copy and paste it from a previous ticket.
