Environment hazards and saves.
There should be environmental hazards and saves to make chases more interesting. Things like rolling a piano down some stairs, or the killer having a trap tile that if they throw a switch can get you. The maps are too stagnant, make areas and corridors open or close with switches, or have some items on a map that let you do access it more broadly. For example, your at gideon's, let there be a key card that opens shutters to new vault locations, or if the killer hits the shutter control box let the shutters close for like 5 seconds. There are so many things that can be done to make the maps better and more interactive.

Maybe in a small dose? Like the trap on nostromi where you can slow the killer? But I think it should have some setup and only slow the killer or stun him shortly... Otherwise that would be just too much...

Yeah, you'd have to make killer trap and survivor trap tiles.

It would be nice if there were some dangerous elements that survivors had to avoid in the environment, but that's never going to happen. Any traps or what have you that get added to the game like the nostromo gas vent will be only be for survivors to use against killer.
